Not a bad game, City cruising at 2-0 up when Villa got a goal back with 10 minutes left. They gave it a good go and the home keeper pulled off a good save to prevent them levelling.

 

For celebrity spotters, Kieran Gibbs was there watching his brother. I expect he was a bit overawed by the majesty of the Spectrum compared with the Emirates

Decent first half saw us score 6 goals, from george Baldock (2) Luke edgehill (3). Second half chobham battled hard but cudnt stop edgehill adding adding his 4th!

Hartley 2-1 Westfield

 

Took the lead early through Weatherall but appaling defending from a corner led to the equaliser.

That big unit of theres up front scored a worldie in the 4th min of first half injury time - quite where it came from i dont know

First half Hartley prob the best footballing side i've seen all season. 2nd half i thought we were a lot better but couldnt get the equaliser. Went close a few time. I'm not one to moan about officials but the assistant referee on our side took great pleasure in awarding the most baffling offside calls against us in the second half and to top it off when our striker was hauled down in the box for a clear penalty ( even the HW bench agreed) he chose to flag for a free kick the other way. Utter plank......

Anyway 3 losses on the bounce for us

Saw my first ccl game of the season today as Epsom played molesey on a lovely merstram pitch.

 

Molesey had by far the better of the 1st half and deservedly went in at half time 1 up. Some of their football was really good to watch and in all honesty It could have been more.

 

Epsom then came out improved in the 2nd half and were more pumped up and the 2n half was more even.Epsom got a pen that was a 50/50 decision and got back to 1-1 before some really poor Epsom defending (thought 2 centre backs were poor all game) allowed molesey another,they also had 3 or 4 chances to finish the game.

 

Then it got interesting, winger for Epsom crosses the ball behind forward and he turns and slips.referee awards a penalty with 2 mins left and red cards the molesey defender.molesey are outraged after penalty is scored and even Epsom fans sing '2 all to the ref'. Molesey frustrated at having not won and a series of poor decisions then have another sent off for two yellows and are down to nine. At the final whistle molesey are outraged and arguments persist and ref walks off sheepish with Epsom fans clapping molseyfc off of pitch.

 

Unreal refereeing - 2 reds in a friendly game! Epsom battled well in the 2nd half and impressed with the football molesey played. Very entertaining to watch, next ccl game I am watching is hanworth!

Warlingham 2-0 Feltham

 

A lack lustre display today from Warlingham against a much improved Feltham side. Played Feltham a fortnight ago in cup and they were poor...today a completely different side and if they had an end product could have nicked something. Warlingham done eonugh to get the 3 points but with Bedfont, Eversley and Farnham all up in the next 3 weeks we need to improve.By the way had ONE OF the best referee's I have had since my involvement began some years ago in the CCL. Mr Nigel Walker take a bow. Superb!!

I didn't see all the game and had to leave immediately it finished to visit 'Er Indoors' in Hospital.

 

I missed the first 15, after we missed a penalty !

 

A really thrilling contest, only marred by a real 'hand-bags' last 10 minutes.

 

Dorking down to 10 and our Guvnor sent to the changing rooms from the bench.

 

 

A very young referee. At least he was being assessed. Unfortunately I couldn't wait and chat to the assessor.

Dorking 0 - 0 Mole Valley SCR

 

From a Mole Valley point of view, I thought it was a shocking performance.

 

We barely strung 3 passes together, and ball seemed to spend most of it's time in the air.

 

Don't think we forced the Dorking keeper into any save of note.

 

Sending off of the Dorking player was stupid, but the non-sending off of the lad near the end (surely hands-on an opponent should be an automatic red) was poor.

 

Have to be honest, i was thoroughly bored throughout the game, and if I hadn't been taken match photo's for the programme, I may well have left early.

 

We have to improve ahead of match against Guildford City on Tuesday, otherwise we are likely to get spanked.

Good day for Chertsey, with Camberley slipping up and Badshot Lea dropping points. I wasn't as impressed with Guildford as I expected to be, but they say it's the sign of a good side if you win when not playing to the max. They were helped on their way by a very generous penalty decision!

Finally got a win, Played well in the first half without putting the chances away. Scored early on in the 2nd but didnt wrap the game up until the final minute but was lucky that the scorer was still on the pitch for an awful tackle a minute earlier. Now for a local derby on tuesday

The referee was so appaling that the Moles boss was threatening to pack in managing

 

I can understand why, having prepared all week for a match and then the referee giving two of the softest penalties you will see at any ground this season - Not to mention the decisions before that he got wrong whether they were big or small ones.

 

Thats the second league game in a row where the officials have cost Molesey the win in the last minutes and I'm getting sick of it

i am a fan of the knappers but as a player you have to take responsability,you cant keep blaming bad luck,as a team ur just not playing well enough,its down to the players and ur posts are just boring as a fan mate im sorry but there it is the truth
