Bedworth United v Slough Town

Get the tissues ready!

We did not deserve 1-1 and we should have lost by 2 or 3 on the totally pi$$ poor performance delivered up by Slough.

As for those who did not deliver, I will not name names as it would take too long, but there were very few Slough players who could say they delivered anything near a 100% performance.

If the players think that I am moaning, well they should stop moaning themselves to the ref as that was what picked up most if not all the yellow cards for Slough.

There seems to be a total lack of self control and self motivation in the team, which comes up with a controled and motivated performances against Marlow and then the shambles today against Bedworth.

Bedworth were not the greatest team in the leauge, but they did what they had to and almost got the 3 points.

On a positive note, the food and setup was very good and adults at £7 was a bonus.

i too did not go today but from what i hear at the end of the day we should be happy we came away with a point even if we did not play all that well at all. getting something when not playing well is much better than losing. very frustrating after such a great performance on Tuesday though

Did anyone manage to get the Bedworth team? I know the scorer and the keeper but otherwise only have the numbers and am trying to write up the report....

One of those days when i get home and wonder if it was worth the bother. Over eight hours of travelling for a dreadful performance and an undeserved one point. Agree with Staines, that i wish some of our players (and Bedworth's) would stop moaning about everything. I thought one of the lino's was great - giving as good as he got, telling a few Bedworth players to 'listen and learn.'

Nice set up, the cheapest bar ever, great food - i can see why the crowd doubled after half time and headed to the bar.

Bedworth played the perfect game to nullify us by getting in our faces and not giving us time to settle.

Having said that, when we did have the ball we tended to give it back to the opposition far too easily with sloppy mis-placed passes.

Very much like Daventry, Bedworth moaned and whinged about every decision, unfortunately we got sucked into doing the same.

One thing thats really pis#ing me off is players getting booked for discent. Totally unecessary and does show a lack of discipline in the squad.

Could not make it in time for kick-off yesterday, so popped along to Burnham V's Aylesbury. My neck still hurts from watching the ball up in the air for so long. Awful game, no football at all - there was no point in their being a midfield!

As for us, we may have nicked a point but the reality of it is if we want to get out of this division we need to be going to places like Bedworth and coming back with all three points.

I can't believe there was any less football at Burnham than there was at Bedworth. At one stage we were playing a 4-2-4 formation, hoofing the ball past the midfield entirely to four strikers all shorter than my 13 year old son. Yes the reality is we need to be returning from Bedworth et al with three points but the reality yesterday was we were incredibly lucky and undeserving in getting one.
