With news from tonights game against Yeading. A sour note for the Rebels saw Andrew Deaner limp off after 29 minutes with a pulled hamstring. Early reports from Kevin indicate he could be out for two weeks.

 

Given his recent form for the first team, it could prove to be a massive blow for the striker.

Never thought we would be worried about the loss of Andy Deaner, but you're right, it could be a real blow for the team after the way he played against Ashford and Molesey.

Maybe this is not altogether suprising.

From what everyone's been saying, Andy has suddenly found a spark of enthusiasm and is hence producing much better results.

I have pulled my hamstring before now and it has usually been through pushing myself too far when not fully fit or fully warmed-up.

Perhaps his legs weren't ready for his new found form?

 

Hopefully he won't be out for too long and will quickly re-find his form when he returns.

From what I hear, Deaner had not warmed up properly, although I can't say for certain as I didn't get there until five minutes into the game. If that is the case, he's only got himself to blame.

Might it also be to do with the fact that this was his third game in five days which is pretty unprecedented for the lad

For the record, that was my first report in a while. I only attempted to get the main points from the match but wrote it that evening whilst it was all still fresh in my mind. Turned out quite well I thought.

 

Even though I was speaking to Roy for a lot of the second half, I was still keeping an eye on the game to catch anything of note. So there. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
