So who won?

Recommended Posts

It's an interesting one this debate.......if a Rebels fan had won £113 million they'd no doubt see that the club was secure for the future. But would I want the club to progress through the leagues and play in the football league? Lots of the best things about supporting the Rebels is that they don't play professional football and suffer all the rules and regulations that make attending games such a chore. If I wanted that I could quite easily go and watch Watford every week like I used to many years ago.

How high up the league would people want to see Slough Town play? An interesting dilemma.

ian you are obviously recovering from a serious mental illness and we don't want a relapse, your psychoanylist is rubbing his hands together thinking about all those repeat fees, watching watford indeed no wonder you have taken up cycling.

It is an interesting thought. I think part of what makes me watch Slough is the non-league element, the fact that you know most of the faces in the crowd, so as great as it would be to play in the football league, I think the conference/conference south would be as high as I would like to see us. I'm not saying it would be a bad thing to go higher, but a club can start to lose it's identity a little the higher up it goes.

For now it would be nice to have a ground whatever level we are playing at!

All down to preference I suppose, yes I like non-league but I so want us out of this level. I'm quite excited about playing Chippenham from one division above us! My ideal would be Conference South as I think we would struggle in Conference Premier with all those full time teams, even with our own ground. I can categorically state that I would still be turning up if we were in the Football League though.
