2 Berths Free for Sudbury

I have discussed this with Sheila and we have agreed to go to Sudbury by boat/bus via Ipswich.

We will be leaving Sunday from Burnham to anchor off Stone Point (Walton backwaters - Arthur Ransome's "Secret Waters") or Halfpenny Pier at Harwich we have attempted to moor here for free before however berths seem to always be occupied by Fisherman.

Monday up the Orwell to Ipswich.

There are regular buses to Sudbury and a ten pm bus back from Sudbury. The above plan allows some leeway for bad weather.

Return may not be back to Burnham but we are considering leaving the boat at Aldburgh on the River Ald ready for a poetry festival on 7th November.

We expect to have two berths available for the trip if anyone is interested.

There will be two dogs on board.

Bad news for the trip I'm afraid.

With Bury Town drawing their FA Cup game on Saturday it means that their Suffolk Premier Cup tie against AFC Subdury on Tuesday is off. It takes precendence over the league and has now been re-arranged for Tuesday 26th October.

That means our game against Sudbury originally scheduled for that date will be changed to another Tuesday.

Sorry about that, it sounded a good plan.

That was likely to be the last trip of the year as well. Bury have no consideration for us sailors.

Oh Well - 2 berths free for Great Wakering on 5th Feb (If we can get the anti-fouling done on time and the heater to work).

Nice trip to Heybridge Basin on the 5th March. Thamesmead looks good in April.

Sometimes I think he has more fun travelling to the games than the rest of us.:applaus:

"sometimes i think steph is winding us all up ad doesn't own a boat at all"

An interesting existentialist point that you raise EP. Sartre would have been proud.

Does my boat exist? Is it just a figment of my imagination? Am I typing this or is this a post that you can read which has not been written?

I believe that my boat, Shearwater, a Westerly Konsort is berthed on B Pontoon at Burnham Yacht Harbour but I cannot prove it.

Is the cat alive or dead in Schrodinger's box?

Time is the period during which events happen ergo if nothing happens there is no time. Before time there was nothing. Did man invent time or was it always there?

As Descartes said, "I think therefore I am."

Or Dylan "I don't believe you."

Hi MfM

I hope you are well.

As for socialism I got fed up of being the only socialist in a capitalist society.

When there are more socialists you will find me there.
