Ian's cyclathon

Just been listening to Talk Sport and a female supporter of Sutton United was a guest on there talking about her cycling to away games for the Football Development Project.

Also looked on Sutton's website and there is a link that takes you to a whole section where they have a pledgeometer, number of miles cycled etc and a Blog about her cycling exploits.

Looks very proffessionally done and a great advert for the club being on Talk Sport.

Just thought if we had done something similar it would help to raise more money and the club profile.

Probably my fault as I haven't marketed it too much other than on here. I am intending to write an article for the programme based on our Atherstone trip. It got a mention in the Express before we set off for Hitchin also but I could do an update for the website I guess. I'm not sure the rides have caught the imagination in the same way that the walks do although after Kay and Martin's mammoth trek to Romulus I'm not surprised!

Currently in training for Soham - only slightly shorter than Atherstone at 91 miles and it's going to be seriously COLD for the first 3 or 4 hours. We'll be setting off at about 4:30am. Once again my slightly mad colleagues/friends Andy and Claire will be joining me.
