You almost got it spot on Horace, except its probably closer to home than you thought. I recently did some work for the national census and was shocked to see the deprivation on my own doorstep. Too many people want something for nothing and have no intention of putting anything back into the society that provides for them.

I really cant be bothered with getting into some meaningless debate about what areas constitute Upminster, but I have seen some really deprived places in both parts of Havering, including places that I had always assumed was built exclusively for upwardly mobile young professionals.
