Gamu Nhengu

Recommended Posts

I see that the Mother of surprisingly popular X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu who failed, rightly in my opinion, to reach the final twelve on Sunday has been unceremoniously exposed as a benefit cheat. As a result of the breach of the conditions of her working visa, where she has been unlawfully claiming child tax credit and working tax credit during her eight year stay in the UK, the UK Border Agency are making arrangements to deport the family back to their native Zimbabwe with immediate effect. Gamu moved to Scotland with her Mother and two younger brothers under the so called 'Fresh Talent Scheme' whereby her Mother was not allowed access to benefits and had to support herself and the three children on her own, the family have no right of appeal and Gamu cannot apply for a visa just for herself.

Incredibly Cheryl Cole is being accused of knowing about this prior to showing Gamu the door in Sunday's show however she was clearly not in the same league as the three successful contestants, namely sultry Liverpudlian Rebecca Ferguson (24), sexy Katie Waissell (24) and the brilliant Cher Lloyd (17) who is odds on to win the competition blindfolded.

'Open and shut' case kick them out. Case closed.

Don't think its quite as open and shut as you think. While I can appreciate the reasons for expelling the mother, is it really fair to send the three children back to a dangerous country that they may not even remember, and would it be fair for the youngsters to be allowed to stay but be separated from their mother. If we want to be seen as a civilized country repatriation would not in keeping with our compassionate liberal traditions.

maybe so but thats besides the point

I believe that the lady in question (Mrs Nhengu) is working as a nurse and all this could be nothing more than an administration error, and if this is so and she is making a contribution then of coarse the family should be allowed to stay

I also think that people that are welcomed into this country and abuse our trust by committing crimes, or defrauding the British taxpayer, or make no effort to make a contribution if they can should be sent back, I also think that parasites like Shannon Mathews mother who have multiple kids by multiple fathers and have never done a days work in their lives should be made to make a contribution to society, even if its only sweeping the streets.

The problem is that if they refuse do we punish the innocent children by stopping their benefits, or do we allow things to carry on as they are, even though we know that those same children will have a higher than average chance of leading the same kind of lifestyle.

Official Spokesman to return to the original case we are all reasonable, fair minded people but such a family will play on our fair mindedness and see it as a weakness they knew the rules and decided to break them,'give them an inch and they will take us a mile' kick them out.

These sort of people who look to take our once proud Country for a ride get what they deserve in my opinion and reap what they sow

This so called once proud nation of ours have exploited poorer nations for generations, so maybe those that come here and exploit us see it as some kind of poetic justice.

Its also true that we can all go to many parts of the UK and almost feel like foreigners in our own land, which cannot be right, but saying that its not only foreign nationals the exploit the system and we should treat all of them equally.

Maybe if we all stopped being prejudices against those that are different to us through race colour and religion, and all become a melting pot of coffee coloured people the world would be a fairer and better place.

Officialspokesman - You've hit the nail bang on the head here, I shook my head in disbelief when I read this depressing article:

colour, race etc is irrelevant, for far too long this country has been far to a soft touch and far too many people have taken advantage which means when people have a justified cause for asylum they are often turned away while others take the complete p1ss out of the system

their skin colour is of course entirely irrevalent,in fact me and Rhodes both have a proud record of fighting racism and indeed any kind of discrimation on these forums, not that im suggesting for one minute that your post was in anyway directed towards us.

The problem is that for far to many people skin colour, race and religion are not an irrelevance. All to often Muslims cant marry non Muslims, Jews cant marry gentiles, and even senior members of our own royal family are not free to marry catholics. Millions of people in Africa are left to die of starvation, and yet if a natural disaster was to happen in a predominantly white country we wouldn't be able to get aid in quick enough.Half the world hate the other half mostly for racial or religious reasons, and us and the Americans think its our duty to bomb the crap out of any nation who have a political system we disagree with, or perhaps cheap oil that we can exploit for our own ends.

Basil-Don - That's spot on but try telling that to some members. Coming back to Gamu Nhengu though, I didn't even think she was all that good and was amazed she even made the Judges Houses part of the show, lets face it the three girls that Cheryl Cole put through to the final twelve all have a fighting chance of going all the way, particularly the amazing Cher Lloyd, whereas Gamu wouldn't have stood a chance in hell.

  • 3 weeks later...

What on earth was Gamu doing at the MOBO Awards in Liverpool last week, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, JLS, N-Dubz, Plan B and Travie McCoy, does anybody know. The arrogant Gamu is still battling deportation back to her native Zimbabwe, lets just hope the incompetent Home Office do the right thing for once and justice prevails.

Officialspokesman - You said it, that's the trouble with our once proud Country as law breakers get rewarded whilst honest, law abiding citizens, get all the grief
