We had a sole striker Tuesday night Michael but Welford wasn't at his best, though mainly because his normal supplier (for his heading ability) only started on the bench,so Sean wasnt going to be as threatening anyway. But then again I suppose someone had to make way for Rogers.

For me Wilsons distribution & shooting ability this season has been one of our main weapons & we missed that last night earlier in the game.Mind you with Pinnock looking like he's still carrying an injury maybe Wilson will get a start this Saturday.

As I, and others, have already mentioned earlier the midfield last night retreated all too often instead of being more forward & holding that midfield to cut out the continued forward play from Tonbridge.

We were just giving them free passage into "dangerous territory" i.e. within striking distance of goal.

As for their keeper making some fine saves, yes he did & although I didn't mention the keeper in particular I did mention in an earlier post that we maybe had the better chances than they did despite their territorial dominance,(well,1st half anyway)

Anyway its done now & I'm looking to the Horsham game to hopefully see them bounce back, put things right & do it in style!.

I think that the team is nearly there, which is frustrating, because it is the difference between a play off place and mid table. In the 9 league matches we have played, we have scored 10 goals but only conceded 12. We have played three of the top teams and only lost by the single goal in each game. The defence has appeared solid all season but when they do make a mistake we get punished. Sutton on Saturday and Kingstonian in the FA Cup are two recent examples. We really have matched most teams that we have played this season. With a little better finishing in front of goal we will surely be there or abouts come the end of the season. We just need to keep the faith and support the players on the pitch
