Hi all,

As you now know, I have left the club and signed for Beaconsfield, so I wanted to just say a thank you to everyone at the club and all the supporters who have made me feel welcome and at home for the past 3 and a bit seasons. It has been great to walk out the tunnel (and occasionally lead the boys out) and play in front of the group of supporters Slough has.

Leaving a club like Slough is very difficult and I didn’t think I would ever leave, but things haven’t really been going my way and I needed to be playing more regular than I was. Not playing regular in either the first team or for a reserve setup was leading to me not being totally fit and maybe being off the pace of the game and this could have been damaging to the team if it continued, so the best option was for me to call it a day and get playing on a regular basis again.

I think that with the current squad of players and management team, Slough will be in the thick of it all come the end of the season and I would not be at all surprised if this season ended in promotion.

Who knows....maybe I will get the chance to play for Slough Town again.

Good luck for the rest of the season!!

Harps.

Oh no, really sad.

Thanks for everything Dean so sorry you have gone. You were a brilliant captain for the club and wore the shirt because you wanted to.

Will really miss you and hope to still get a hug when we see you at Beaconsfield

Aidan and Sue

P.S its me that wants the hug not Aidan

Very sad to hear Deano has left. Absolutely gutted, he has been one of the best servants this club has had in recent years and has shown his incredible talent by playing in the teams of all abilities over the years.

Good luck to him, and I hope he will be back playing for us in the future.

Could never fault his commitment or his passion for the club. He obviously cared, when others over the years have not done so. He coud even be accused of over commitment, as the card count is testament to! Good luck at Beaconsfield and thank you for leading by example.
