I'm not going to go overboard in the same way I wasn't too downhearted on Saturday. There's some real positives to get out of the game tonight though. Ross and Martin up front look like they could get a bit of a decent understanding together, Ross is starting to hold the ball up and link the play. Michael Spencer continues to play well with an excellent goal and some telling runs, the back four all did well, Tam was getting stuck in - good team performance overall. We were looking good at times but there's still work to be done, sluggish in the first half.

Folkestone look like they're going to struggle this season.

Excellent game with some really good goals, especially Michael's and Jonathan's. Can't wait to see them on video.

 

Everyone played well and Martin and Ross looked like an effective strike team.

 

And the bonus was seeing Tommo in kit, warming up before the game.

thought ross was brilliant tonight,when tuohy got his goal the pair suddenly came to light,thought they scared the sh1t out of folkestone.

there is no chance of us being anywhere near the bottom of this league as folkestone are poor,as are a few others,saturdays result was somewhat a freak result although clearly we got hammered

carry on playing like that and we can still get to the play offs,confidence is what we have been lacking,hopefully we got some back tonight

Tonbridge were England to our Germany, we didn't deserve to lose 7-1 just as their midfield were not dominated by ours (with Scholes in it - he lacked the stamina as always) but we bounced back, WE WON!

i don't think folkestone were that poor - they were just unlucky. Albeit not as unlucky as hornchurch were at the weekend, but still unlucky.

 

still, thought the team played very well although i was expecting the worst after the passback penalty in the 1st half.
