Interested to read that League Two Bradford City's average Home gate is approx 10,800!

 

I think they have done this by offering attractive admission and season ticket prices. Probably hoping to make money from aftersales, programmes, food, shirt sales, etc.

 

Other teams are doing kids for a quid and special family deals.

 

Do you think it might be worth giving such ideas, or similar a thought for us?

 

If we can implement something then sooner rather than later.

the problem with kids for a quid is that we only charge £2 anyway.

Also,say we was to offer kids free entry,the ones who have paid for a season ticket will then feel that they are being overcharged

When I went to Canvey away last season, there was a Ryman League advert in their programme saying that anyone who has a Season Ticket for one of the 92 professional league clubs could gain entry to any Ryman game for something like a fiver just by producing it at the gate? although I would imagine there aren't that many people who take advantage of that offer......if it is still runing that is?

In our Con South days we let under 16's in free with an adult. This gave us the revenue fron the adult and kids will always spend money on burgers etc. Could be a way of getting a few more through the gate.

When I first started going about 5 years ago there was posters all over the place, in loads of shops etc, I know the poster is still produced, but I haven't seen one displayed for at least a couple of years now.

the recorder posters were good back in the day but nowadays with advertising space at a premium,every shop seems to think they are too large,many dont mind if we have a smaller poster and these are available on the website to print off and distribute,but to be honest it seems as if people dont have the time,which is fair enough,i did have a couple of people helping me but i havent seen one of them since the first game of the season,the same people cant keep doing everything,as after a while even one or two of them drop out leaving only a couple of us

tonight,i was flogging 50/50,promoting away travel and selling programmes until jordans sister helped out
