Name I heard was Ian West but don't know if it was true!

The thin linesman called him Neil but he might just have been giving him points for performance.

PS I saw Keith Eglington last Sunday morning, the day after the Romford match refing a match in Barkingside park.

todays ref at the ETFC Ladies game was Dave Buckridge a middlesex appointment and far,far better than the men have had to put up with since the match when we turned over enfield in a middlesex charity cup match.

The Manor lost today to a good Standsted team, well done the Standsted well deserved 1-2 win. However, Mr Stuart Bookey referee was laughable! wearing sunglasses on a dark wet windy night? Missed so many incidents, and did not given blatant decisions for both Manor and Standsted, you had to see it to believe it! my rating -7/10, yes minus 7! Both Manor and Standsted shall be reporting this joker.

Surely - The dog in harness should have given a clue that he might miss some incidents?

So the new Stansted are a bit tasty then?

REFEREE STEWART BOOKIE MANOR V STANSTED GAVE SO MANY DECISIONS THE WRONG WAY I WAS WONDERING IF THE SUNGLASSES HAD TRIPLE VISION.HE GAVE A PENALTY TO MANOR BALL PUT ON SPOT AND THEN CHANGED HIS MIND AND GAVE A DROP BALL UP THE FIELD OF PLAY,WHEN ASKED WHY HE SAID THE LINO SAID IT WAS NOT A PENALTY AND THE DROP BALL IS THE RULES.RATNG 1/10 BUT 2/10 FOR HAVING THE GUTS TO WERE SUNGLASSES IN THE P-----G DOWN OF RAIN, WHAT A COMPLETE IDIOT.

Yes he missed the blatent corners but he used the advantage law correctly and could have been more over the top with the couple of fracas that broke out instead of issuing the couple of yellows he dished out. I really didnt think he was that bad. 5/10

Fair point. Still don't think he was better than 5/10 though

To be perfectly honest, I thought the referee was not that bad. Remember, officials do not get marked on the individual decsions they make, it's their performance that matters and if they do make a mistake, in the eyes of those professional supporters standing in the rain, then so be it. As David Ellerey said ' I will make less mistakes on a field of play than the players will'

By the way. the 'free kick' we earned just prior to the goal was signalled as an indirect free kick first of all! Billy then scored direct because there was no hand signal when the play was about to restart. Even those in the FH board room commented on this. Billy also noticed this as he talked about it afterwards in the bar.

Even more noticeable was the name of one of the assistant referees. His name was Mr Quelch. Not a common surname I would have thought. There was a sponsorship sign on the perimeter fence in the name of ....... Mr Quelch!!!! I bet that has never happened before?

call me Mr Picky!
but sums are made up of the individual parts?
so if he/she makes crap decisions then they effect the overall performance?

Well spotted. I also noticed the 'connection'. You would assume the advertisement on the perimeter fence was a local company and, judging by some of his decisions, if it was Mr Quelch running the line on the 'tea bar' side I would assume he was also local!

Mr Wallace today wasn't too bad. Let Burnham Ramblers get away with some sliding two footed tackles and then booked Billy when he tried one. But later I think he saw the error of his ways and booked a Burnham Ramblers player for a seemingly average tackle. Penalty was a bit rough but we did touch him in the penalty area and he did dive well.

Score 7/10.

Lino in second half should have gone to Specsavers!
