I think we should demand an appolgy from whoever edited that video (it was obviously sanctioned by Southend

Sutton United Football Club as it was filmed on thier premises) as it was not truly representive of the match itself.

 

It makes it look as if they shoud have won by 5 goals instead of getting away with a lucky win that should have really been a draw.

I was under the impression that horns, vuvuzelas etc were banned from ALL football grounds in the UK!!

 

Sutton were'nt that great and if the weather hadn't been so pants, we could have beaten them.

 

Attendance 1200! Only because they had a family day beforehand and all kids got in for a quid.....

Obviously those highlights are "their" highlights & yes, in those few minutes we could have been further behind.Looking at that we should have dealt with that 2nd goal easily enough though.Long ball down the middle,5 of our players v 2 of theirs & no-one tryng to block the shot.The 1st goal was preventable too i.m.o.

We need to tighten up a lot more at the back & concentrate better but without having to have all players dropping deep which just invities opponents to run at us (as can be clearly seen).

In those highlights our players were, for the most being run ragged & were chasing shadows for the most part. Okay,there was a lot more we,who couldn't make it to the game,have not seen but we certainly need to improve things all round thats for sure.

Tonbridge on Tuesday & they will be on a high,3 new players in and a tricky player in Sam Jones to contend with. A 7-1 victory too.

We all know about Sam.Can be be magical on his day with his tricky feet but can also be a frustrating player who can be easily snubbed out of the game. The latter has to be one of those times on Tuesday.

Tonbidge will be harder than the away game v Sutton in my view.The pressures on us this time & expectations are high on US to win this game & v Horsham at the week-end. We need to get back to putting in a good run again. No hard luck stories this week please, we need to be at the top of our game & "do the business" somehow!
