Came from one down to secure a welcome 3 points with a hard working gutsy performance.

 

More work obviously needs to be done to get the midfield and forward line working. We lack experience up front and it was no surprise that our goals came from another penalty, well taken by Collis and a tap in from Charge after a suicidal backpass beat the Horsham keeper.

 

I thought Collis had one of his better games for the Club and once again Chatting caught the eye. Having seen the Hornchurch result, we have to be grateful, even if the fluency is lacking.

 

We had a decent set of Officials today (at least by Ryman standards) but why they put up with the verbal abuse from the Horsham players in the second half, I will never know.

Pleased to see Harrison start (had a good game) and Tony Martin given a chance. First half I thought that we played OK against a poor Horsham side. Second Half Craig decided to

 

go 4-4-2 and I thought that was a big improvement. We were comfortable throughout and always looked dangerous. Saying that, we still do

not seem to test the opposition goalkeeper enough. I thought the ref had a decent game, but the "Tea Bar" linesman seemed to give a few dubious

offside decisions IMO.

 

Dave Collis had a great game and I was very impressed with the Left Back.

Not the best of games but I think yesterday was all about the result. Look what happened to Hornchurch yesterday after their cup exit.

 

MoTM for me was Dave Collis, I thought it was easily his best game for us so far and agree that the left back did very well considering he has not been with us very long.

 

I expect Horsham will be gutted. That's what happens when you're down the bottom - What a comedy goal that second one was.

 

We still need to try and do more going forward but I know we are trying hard to improve the squad. Dismal crowd of 317 - What's that about?

 

Great result - Let's hope we can get our revenge at Concord on Tuesday.

Important to get the win after Tuesday. Chatting probably had his best game in a Blue shirt from a starting position and he was ably supported by the new left back who looked decent. Man of the match for me was Collis. Not a great game, but lets be POSITIVE, it's 3 points in the bag!!

I agree Collis was MOTM, but just like last season we are going to struggle to achieve if we don't get a regular scorer up front. I don't undersatnd why Matt Hall does not get a regular start as we always play better with him on the pitch. Hall over Micah every time for me.

Nothing like a win to inject some confidence . Thought Chatting was a real handful and never stopped running and agree Collis was a very important player for us Saturday . Second half i thought we totally dominated but we do seem to have a problem in front of goal . Again there are plenty of good crosses coming over and if we could just have a couple more bodies in there then i think goals will come . Thought Tony Martin looked like he took a knock early in first half and from then dud not appear a mobile , and the left back was a good player .

 

It was a very pleasing win after last week , but i think the real test will again be on our travels starting with Concord again .

 

But a win is a win , and lets enjoy it .. Much better all round team performance.
