SACFC Res 7 (seven) Waltham Abbey Res 1

Recommended Posts

Bit of a mis-match this one. The Saints included Chris Seeby, Matt Glynn, Greg Deacon and Graeme Tomlinson in their starting line-up and eventually were far too strong for the opposition, who amazingly went ahead with their only real attempt on goal in the game. Tomlinson equalised just before half-time after numerous shots on goal and the second half was just a procession of chances, some cracking goals and some inspired goalkeeping. I'll let someone else provide the stats.

Here are the stats...

First 55 minutes. 1-1.

8.55. Zeal turns up. City then score six goals.

Final score 7-1.

Libro. You wish you'd gone? Well you should have done. It was a good night. You only have yourself to blame.

btw. I misheard Laz on the phone. He actually said "Tomlinson's playing", and I heard is as "[GHA's real name] is playing".

Perhaps the opposition was not that good but the ressies played some superb football last night. On this performance, the future looks very bright indeed. Kevin and Vince should be congratulated. This is how football was meant to be played, the passing game on the ground and everyone working for each other. Great to watch. I, for one, will certainly be going again.
