Guildford3 Horley 2 aet.

Guildford dominated 1st half and went in 2-0 up at half time.

About 10 mins into 2nd half Horley were reduced to 10 men with a 2nd yellow offence

Then the game changed Horley decided to start battling and performing and created about 4 or 5 good chances. We got it back to 2-1.

Then we hit the bar from a penalty kick.

We then got another chance and made it 2-2.

Almost nicked it in normal time and if we would of I dont think anyone could of complained with the 2nd half performance with 10 men.

Extra time not much happened, Guildford scored direct form a free kick with about 5 left of extra time.

Overall a great performance from Horley when we went down to 10 and unlucky not to go through.

Best of luck to Guildford in next round.

Ash Utd 1 Sandhurst T 4

got what we deserved........nothing

Sandhurst totally dominated this game & have to say we was very lucky only to be 4-1 down at half time. Sandhurst played some very neat football & we was a poor team . 2nd half give some credit to the players as they did show some sort of bottle, but still wasnt good enough

Very strange at the end of the game. The referee award sandhurst a freekick just outside the area when he adjudge our keeper to have brought down the sandhurst forward (however from my angle it looked the other way). From the freekick sandhurst scored & the ref blow for full time, however most of out team complained as the replacement keeper hadnt got the gloves on, he then went over to the assistant who told him the same. so for some reason he disallowed the goal & made Sandhurst take the kick again but this time it went over.

What does Krooner think about this one

But saying that this was the only bad point about the referee's performance....shame tho, as he had done such a good job before

Il tell ya how we were robbed shall i! Big biting here! Firstly the officials cost us the game il tell u why, firstly in the first half our striker is clean through and your defender is the last man and denys us a scoring opporunity, he has to go! Nope the ref bottles it and gives a yellow! Second, our striker shoots and a defender SAVES the ball with his hands in the box, again everyone in that ground saw it the farnham bench said how hasnt he gave that! Two make it worse at half time i said to the ref is that not a pen no and he replied sorry we got it wrong!! Another opportunity gone! Also if we had a bloody striker that could score a goal but we aint so thats our fault and we can only defend for so long before you have a chance! Taking nothing away from farnham they battled on and the skipper scored a great goal! And the pen was well taken! My point is IF the right decisions were made at the right times then the reslut if different!

Eversley 0-2 South Park

Both teams started slowly giving possesion away far too often. Park played the first bit of football and scored from it after 25 minutes, added a 2nd just before half time and from then on was only going to be one winner. Eversley keeper and some poor finishing kept the score down in the second half. Was expecting a much tougher game as we had 6 players out and we had 3 tough games against Eversley last year, think it was a off day for them. Lovely pitch and well worth the walk to the pitch to play on it.

Cobham 2-5 Hartley

Jurgs did you play in nets? Couldn't make the game as I've finally started playing for Hartley thirds.

This was some of the comments made by one of our spouters, hope he doesn't mind me posting it on here...

Taking the game as a whole, that was a very good performance and a deserved margin of win. If Big J had remembered to put his boots on instead of his slippers first half, we'd have been 4 up at the break .He put that right with two clinical finishes when it mattered in the second half though, so fair play to him.

This team is really gelling, looks well balanced and played some lovely football. Great tempo. And I looked at the bench and saw a row of true first team players sitting there, so we have the depth in the squad too, which will be vital. You've raised the bar in terms of level of performance over the last few games. Maybe the real test from here will be not to get complacent when in control of games. There were times when we invited Cobham back into a game that should have been all wrapped up with a ribbon on top. In the stand, we were all thinking 'how can we be back at 2-2'. The difference is that, last season, we might well have lost the game. Today we upped it a gear - this team has that in them.

I don't think anyone would disagree with Phil Grove as man of the match - a great performance amongst a lot of good performances. The second goal was sublime - great technique. We salute you Grovesy.

A blow when Dan Smith had to go off in the first half (knee injury) but Tom showed what a close call it is between the two keepers - couldn't have done much about either of their goals.

At 2-2 the Cobham supporters decided to chant barmy army and bang the metal stand floor, which was fair enough but a bit of a racket, so I took up a position pitchside. The goals then started to go in for us and, not that I'm superstitious, but I didn't dare move back to the stand! So what, I got a bit wet, it was worth it! Well done lads, Nev, Whopper.

The referee is able to change a decision, but only if he has not restarted the game OR TERMINATED THE GAME. Can you imagine the uproar had the score 0-0 at the time! Unfortunately the referee was wrong in Law.

Wasn't at the game either was at Horely for a reserve game but from what I heard we were beaten by a better team but once we got back into the game at 2-2 should have gone on to win. Been told the goals were very soft. Baxter and a great goal and 7th of the season for Rideout put us at 2-2 but despite a great chance to go 3-2 up couldn't kick on. Up coming fixtures are very tough too. Things aren't looking great down at the leg o mutton.

On the upside reserves have won last 3 on the bounce for the first time since, well, i've been at the club so not all doom and gloom. Very werid situation with the 1st goal we scored in ressies where ball went through the net. Goal given, a Horely player injured in the build up walks off the pitch to sit on bench, recieves a yellow for leaving the field of play, ref while he is over the other side of pitch consults linesman as to if goal is given, 10 minute delay while goal is fixed and nobody knows whats going on, then goal given.

Yes very big bite!!

im not sure 35 yards from goal with a covering defender easy being able to get back is a clear goal scoring opporunity so yellow was the right desicion. The penalty shout did look like the ref missed it, however after seeing your strikers yesterday im sure they would of only missed it anyway! lol.

Bunners 25 yard strike was worth the 3 points!

Yes I did mate....although after the result, I wished I hadn't!!!!

HW were deserved winners, but extremely disappointed in the manner in which we gave away some of our goals (you would have thought we might have learnt some things after last weeks result!) and especially after a great fight back to 2-2 having been 2-0 down. To then shoot ourselves in the foot yet again was hard to take from my point of view!

As a team we were poor, but not quite as poor as the team in black!!! I'll actually stick up for HW here, but their first goal almost became a big joke. Following a quick break the HW forward slid in at the far post and knocked the ball a good yard over the goal line, before i managed to get my hands on it. The lino was not up with play (something that he struggled with all half) and didn't signal a goal (neither did the ref), so I carried on and threw the ball out to our LM who attacked. He had travelled into the HW half, before the ref (probably due to the amount of stick he was getting from the HW players) finally blew the whistle and went to check with his assisstant, who was seemingly carrying on with the game (still no flag had been raised to signal a goal).

After a chat and a good 20 secs after the goal, the ref finally gave it!!!!! Now I'm not complaining as such, as they eventually got the decision right....however that was purely through luck rather than judgement (you got the impression they just guessed it had gone in due to the reaction of the HW players, rather than actually knowing) and just made a mockery of them working as a team!
