Players Injury Insurance

Just wanted some info regarding insurance for players injuries when they have to have time off work etc. What does your club do with regards to this matter. Do you leave it to the players to source their own?

From experience, clubs at a higher levels normally have an option for you or will be covered for all of their players especially those on contracts

However our level is very different.

At Egham i think its just the self employed lads who have cover as if they get a bad injury they cant work.

It is a CCFL requirement that all clubs provide personal accident cover for their players (rule 25.1). Our local club pays the premiums for a basic cover, although the league rules do not require the club to pay. Self employed players or others who do not receive sick pay should make additional arrangements.
