debts, missing payment and takeovers?

Did anyone see the article in the Non League Paper about the fact that Peter Simpson had not paid the players but that they had been paid by a donor who may take over the club? And then I read a comment on the Slough forum but yet no comment from the club? This is really poor. This is why I think its poor

 

1- I hear that the club is in real trouble with debts that have nothing to do with the playing side and go back about many years?

 

2- I also hear that these debts are the responsibility of the chairman and the club now has a poor reputation for payment and several people are taking legal action?

 

3- It is time that the chairman told us what is going on.

 

4- I also read Mudgey talk about a hellenic budget. Mudgey- you have done well but we all know that the budget is exactly the same as the last three years so treat the press as if they are mugs if you want- but not us.

 

If what I am being told is true, we may not have a club soon so come on Peter - what is happening?

But good to see the rumour mill in full swing, getting a bit boring on here.

 

As for the mystery donor, good. Peter has done a fantastic job at the club but we all know it cannot and will not continue, we need new funders in the club, we just need to ensure they are in it for the long run like Peter, and not looking for a quick bit of glory and then going to booger off.

 

Once again i would say half truths are coming out, I agree I would like to know what is going on but it is not always possible to do that as it may compromise a situation.

 

I would imagine there are debts, just like most clubs similar to Windsor (small fan base, not had a decent FA Cup run in ages and no other serious streams of income) I just hope we take a sensible approach to resolving it....three thousand lottery tickets was that Mr Sercretary?

According to the Advertiser today the club has debts of around £100,000! I must admit i find this figure hard to believe. Surley someone with the experience of the chairman wouldn't let kind of debt build up! I agree that this years budget has been reduced and think that everyone at the club has done brilliant to get us in the position we are in. Having said this we do need extra income from other sources hence the talks taking place over a possible takeover. Until this happens lets just hope the team keeps moving forward and gives us something to look forward to every week.

The [censored] arseholes innocent little posts about financial turmoil, someone who clearly knows just a bit too much. Someone with an axe to grind and has relentlessly worked firing stories here there and everywhere. Snipes in magazines, forums, newspapers. Anonymous letters, who knows what else just to make sure the negativity bubbles away.

I'm half expecting Gene Hunt to drive by having fired up the Quattro and jump out just to knacker slap someone!

 

Either way... it's boring, boring, boring... My suggestion is that we ignore the rest of this post. If the club do make any details public we can then discus the situation until then other than those involved with the club nobody really knows what the deal is and what the plans are.

 

 

If you want to discus anything after my post on this topic might I suggest that you discus whether Trojan Horse who began posting on here yesterday at 6:56pm and Sluffer (who claims to be a Slough fan) who began posting on the Slough forum yesterday at 6:45pm are in fact the same person. Lost in a world of non league fantasy... I bet they are on World of Warcraft playing with more than one name as well... what an exciting life they lead!

Unfortunately the people with a axe to grind just won't go away.

 

Ever since I saw Mudge's comments about winning on a Hellenic league budget I've been waiting for Anonymous posters to reappear trying to rebuke those comments. I thought it would ruffle some feathers!

 

What the management and the players have done this season has been nothing short of phenomenal.

 

Personally I would be shocked if the club debts are anything near 100K. I remember a article in the press last season where Peter mentioned Windsor had a 15k overdraft with the bank with which the club lived within.

 

Perhaps the new club slogan should be ......"KEEP CALM and CARRY ON"
