Great Support for the Blues at Bognor

Recommended Posts

As the Chairman of the Supporters Association i would like to say a personal thank you to the 50 or so Blues fans who made the trip to Bognor on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Supporters Coach left Billericay just after 9.30 less than half full rather disappointing and arrived in Bognor just after 12.00. It was a good day out as we had time on the seafront before the game looking forward to a Blues win.

The team played a 100% better than on Saturday against Hayes and deserved something from the game as we were the better team and this was echoed as well by the home supporters. Bognor had two shots in the game and scored from both the second being well off side but that is the way it is going at present, we just need that lucky break.

The Management team would like to pass there thanks on to the travelling support at Bognor for getting fully behind the team.

Credit to you all at Bognor let's hope for a win on Saturday at home to Carshalton. Tell your friends so that we have a large crowd on Saturday at New Lodge to cheer the Blues on to 3 points.

Regards,

BTSA Chairman

Gonna have to disagree with you there Andy. Numbers wise our support has been in free fall for quite a while now. Taking 60/70 to Bognor is no great shakes considering our away support of 'old'. Most of the regular faces that used to follow Billericay have for one reason or another slowly disappeared. I know it's all about results on the pitch and success and I dare say all those people who put thier names down for the coach then suddenly 'vanished' was as a direct result of saturdays performance. Currently I would be more worried about the lack of support this club is getting rather than the results on the pitch.

I agree with Ryan the disappearing supporter is going to be a major problem not only away but at home. Only 340 odd at the last home game - cannot keep a team at this level of football with that many people coming through the turnstile. Support your team at least at home.

Ryan, may have miss worded my message I was praising the supporters who turned up for getting behind the team.

Yes you are correct the numbers following the blues these days and especially this season are very disappointing both home and away.

This is reflected in when trying to run Coaches to away games which we would of filled a couple of seasons ago and now find it hard to fill 50% of the seats.

This is the time when the players need your support, Justin and his management team are all new to the role and need your support and the first 3 points of the season will be just around the corner.

The futures bright the futures Blue and White.

Andrew

we took a few to aylesbury, the home game v hayes was a little dissapointing but it was bank hols weekend and for many the season doenst get under way until after holiday time. The bad start wont have helped as many will see no difference in the way things are now to how we finished last season.

by the way, who is responsible for putting the posters up around the town showing out latest fixtures? havent seen any posters in the queens park car park, i will happily do this if no one else is already on the case.
