I notice on the Sutton Forum that they are having a fun day on Saturday. It states that its Kids for a quid for anybody who may be interested. It looks like they will have a lot of fans there.

having looked on the sutton site-they do seem to be planning and preparing for this very professionally.

 

Its much more than the usual-kids go free' or 'kids for a quid' stuff.

 

Its a proper family day out from 1pm until 5pm with lots of activities for the children from 1pm onwards.

 

They deserve success with it.

 

Hopefully our directorship can get some 'learnings/ideas from it- maybe a bit late to do it with the weather and dark nights closing in-something for spring ?

Again-it seems to be alot more than simply cheaper admission.

They seem to have teamed up with the Met Police to do this, so I presume the Old Bill (in other words the taxpayer) are footing the costs for the various activities. Not a fan of family days at football myself (personally I think football is for heavy drinking and swearing at strangers) but this does seem a bit more organised than usual.

Attendance was 1253 so i guess you have to say it worked for them.

Even though reduced admission-i'm sure the bar and food counters more than made up for it.
