Good stuff!

It reads as fantastic stuff, but without sounding like an alarmist, we are almost into November and have just been awarded this 250k to do substantial work to the QE building. I've worked with builders a few times and gut feeling tells me we'll be hard pushed to see it all done in time.

Anyway, the whole process seem's in good hands, just wishing for a smooth completion of the schedule of works. Roll on August and a new home.

EU point taken. Must remember Rome wasn't built in a day, and Roger Reed and many, many others are working flat out, on behalf of us all, to ensure that our new stadium is completed and ready on time. Think the level of funding secured for this project, in these difficult times, is quite amazing and little short of a miracle. Well done and thanks to everyone involved.

Looking ahead to our 1st game at the QE and the opening of our new stadium it would be nice to have a premier league side 1st XI to come and play. With there being no World Cup or Euro Championships this/next Summer the majority of PL clubs will have a full team once pre season starts. I'm sure there will already be alot of interest from locals & Enfield supporters both old & current but the extra buzz of a Spurs or Arsenal 1st team coming to play will boost the attendance even higher and reward the many people behind the scenes who have done a marvellous job with hopefully a rather large gate receipt.

Thinking back a year or so maybe Enfield council should have done a deal with Spurs regarding Bull's Cross!!

Stone Cold totally agree with your suggestion. I am sure our Board members will already have this idea on their radar.

Our club already has a good relationship with Spurs, and the close proximity of the QE stadium to their new Bulls Cross training complex should, hopefully, encourage their interest as a useful PR exercise with the Enfield public.

Great news!

Ps..The Rugby bit concerns me slightly though..Whats the score with that? Occasion games only i hope! Rather than regularly using the playing surface for weekly games and/or to train on??

Well if Saracens were to offer 500k per year to play there we'd be foolish not to consider it.
