Following the early speculation about James’s switch to Margate I can reassure supporters that our policy remains “tell the fans first”. However, to ensure our information is accurate, we will only officially announce player movements when they are fully concluded and not respond to speculation before-hand.

 

 

The signing of a player can be a complicated process and is not “final” until signing AND registration processes are complete and validated by the league. Indeed, last season, the club fell foul of announcing the signing of a player who had “committed” himself to Margate after “signing” but had an 11th hour change of mind. We therefore work hard to try and ensure that supporters are given facts to avoid disappointment.

i guess the same principle of officially announcing 'signings' applies to off pitch activities as well;and thus hopefully in the very near future there will be club news of the recent speculated 'signing' of the heads of terms with the hotel and an update on the ground development;which is with respect-probably an even better signing than that of james rogers
