Ref at Wembley was quite a young fit lad and, in my opinion, had an okay game. There were a few decisions that may be debatable but, to be honest, that happens in virtually all games at all levels. He got stick for the disallowed goal, but his linesman gave it quite emphatically and he had to go with that. He actually apologised to some degree after the game as I shook his hand, but said much the same. As I said to him, they only gave what they saw, so I could not argue with it. Shame to find out after that it was definitely wrong, but hindsight is great. He did pick up a bit of pace to sprint across and book my centre half, who had given him a verbal volley about the incident, probably trying to ensure he got to him before he got himself into the changing room.

I must say, I tend to think I see most of what goes on in games, but cannot recall the "hairy [****!!****]" moment, and must investigate tonight at training. There were a random pair of black boxers hanging round the changing room after the game and, if it was them, I am surprised they were a problem. Lucky it wasn't the old days of the shorts in the Glenn Hoddle era, as there would be a distinct possibility that a player could be removed from the pitch for "showing his chap off". Now that would be a load of bo****ks!

Rules like this make me laugh,it's like checking boots before a game, sensible in my opinion. But why are these not checked at the start of the 2nd half, players leave the field of play,so are out of site of the Officials for 15 mins,a change of boots could occur, but they would not know. But when a sub is used they check them. It's like if I was a Sikh could I wear a Turban,or be requested to remove it.Striped Shorts could be a way round it,red, white, and blue,or would you have to wear same colour undergarments.

I think you have started something here smudge.

I will get our centre forward "John Popadom" to were a turban on saturday on religiuos grounds and put him at the near post for flick ons !

Might have certain limitations at certain times of the year, Steve.

Don't forget that during Ramadan, they have to pray every so many minutes.

Would 'time-be-added-on' in this event ?
