New Manager Required

Dear all,

 

After a run of disappointing results i feel that is time for a new manager to come to the fore front. I agree with the thoughts of Bridgeavenue that we need a manager who players want to play for no, a manager who players want to fight for. Now i respect Jimmy Mac a lot but i am not sure whether he has what it takes to take these so called "top tier" players and get them to gel together to get us to our rightful position in the top half of the table fighting for promotion and ultimately in the play off mix. I know people will say we are only a couple of wins from the play-offs but where are the wins coming from? Flack, Touhy, Wall and Richards are all isolated and Mr Hunt currently doesn't seem interested. As much as we all rate Mr Janney and Mr Tomlinson it is a sad state of affairs if we are relying on them to come back to full fitness to lead the side and bring back the Hornchurch Spirit.

 

This is not a drunken rant this is a fan who has held it in for a game too long and losing to a poor Brentwood side snapped the final hope left inside a Urchin fan...So who else agrees that it could be time to leave for Big Jimmy?

Well it is someone's fault. That's for sure.

 

We have just played a poor Brentwood side twice inside a week and have not only failed to score but failed to create a decent chance!!!

 

All I know is, I did my bit. I just hope everyone else can say the same.

You cant blame the management on this - i can only blame the players.

with the exception of spencer black fletcher and styles the rest if them didnt look bothered....our strikers look like they want to be elsewhere and they may have well been after yesterday.

did we have a shot on target? think we mustered 2 corners...may have been less tho? well we are out of the cup and now out of cash we can could of won too.

how can we play are very poor brentwood twice and not create a chance? fair play to Jimmy for opting for a passing approach tho rather then the direct approach we have been doing lately.

i don't mind losing a game or a cup tie if you get beat by a better team whatever level but to lose to a team who probably had no more than 5 shots in two games is soul destroying.

We should of been one up but we didn't take our chance when it came and to be honest we would of just deserved it,saying that,they put the ball in the net and we didn't so good luck to them,got a feeling they will get anhialated by woking though

Manager picks the team and decides tactics, not sure if he decides what players we have, though.

The players obviously lack aconfidence at the moment.

Can't blame crap players even if they are sh1te if they try and give 100%..

Too early to sack the manager. Jimmy deserves more support than that.

We should all be pulling together. It was easy supporting us when we were winning things.

Hopefully we all we need is a couple of good results to get us going.

i just hope that the players are hurting as much as my head and dan's foot is. we're out of the cup and the prize money for beating a poor brentwood side and the possibility of an extra few hundred on the gate at the bridge has gone. somehow the manager has to kick some buttock in the dressing room but also pick up the players. i do not envy him that task but something has to change as at this rate we'll be playing at the brentwood centre next year in the league.

 

still. at least it's cheered up the romford bigot...

I personally think the problem reguarding the latest results is a mixture of the management and team. Maybe he isn't experienced enough?

I think jimmy is experienced,he has been with colin a long time as a player and then a number two.I am also sure that colin has some involvement in team affairs although ultimately jimmy makes the decisions on the pitch.

I think its time to just see how the next few games pan out,ok we are out of a competition we were never going to win but one that we could of made a nice bit of money from,there is still the trophy though and the league to play for

The Ketchup that got all over the flag has now been cleared off.

Just so you know, it was actually dry cleaned over the summer!!
