Leyton (A) 28.09.10

2-1 to Town at Half Time.

Lucky to be going in ahead if I'm honest. Rob has made two outstanding saves to keep us in the lead. The game is being played at 100 miles per an hour and a fairly unchanged Town side from just 2 days ago are struggling to keep tabs on a few Leyton players who have bags of pace and trickery.

Valenti and Hammond in for Mehmet and Hammatt and Jey in for Bardle are the only changes.

Steve may decide to freshen it up fairly soon. As much as we are lucky to ahead, we too are creating chances and a draw thus far would be fair. Hammond has been impressive.

Fingers crossed for the second half.

Full time - 2-1 Town. Get in!!

Second half was a much tighter affair with Town looking more comfortable, controlling more of the possession and generally being the better side. Had it not been for a great last ditch tackle from a Leyton defender and a better first touch from Fabio on another occassion, we could have made it more comfortable in the end.

Campbell on for Gio and Bardle on for Byfield at half time, with the latter one looking to tighten things up down our left.

Hammond was awesome and Man of the Match all day long!! Special mentions for Rudi who was excellent once again and Rob, who made 2 brilliant first half saves and had it not been for him the outcome may have been different.

Great 3 points for Steve and the lads only 2 days after the tough cup

fixture. Really does show their committment and desire this season.

Up the Town!! Happy days!! :-)

Good result yet again.

You must feel sorry for anyone who missed the first 8 minutes.

One of those "did not play well" but won games - 3 great points "ground out" in 6 minutes and then held on for long periods..

Excellent Team spirit. Well done to all.:applaus:

On this showing Leyton will not drop many points at home, although some of their play was pushing the limits a few times. Another Referee may have had a long collections of names !!!.
