Boreham Wood Away

Recommended Posts

They are currently bottom of Conference South and no doubt will be low on confidence should this remain so we can hopefully capitalise on this and get the right result.

It will no doubt be a tough game but i am sure if we play to our strengths and dont give them to much respect we can come away with at least a draw.

Hopefully we will take a good number with us to a club that we have strong links with now. Steve and the lads train at Borehamwood on a Thursday evening with Borehamwood training at the other end at the same time , dont think there will be much set piece work going on. It is a good tie , we were always going to get a side from higher up the Pyramid sooner or later. We are the underdogs , so have nothing to lose and all to gain. Pressure will all be on them being the Conference South side. Being local it should enable us to take 200+ to the game.

Having looked at various quotes and newspaper articles over the past few years regarding BW.It seems that big games ,especially FA competions, attract a small but hardcore group of local troublemakers to the game..Apparently these people are not real fans but turn up a couple of times a seaon to cause trouble..Lets hope BW put adequte measures in place to ensure if these people turn up they don't spoil yet another match.

Both & now tell me your both looking forward to going to Boreham wood........

Yep thought so......... Exactly, so who's for 18 holes then?! pmsl

Gazza-We are in the third Qualifying round for the first time ever and pitted against our close alies and friends off the pitch who are a Conference South side. Plus it's the FA Cup and a chance for our club to make a bit of noise in the wider circles of football. When you think we have avoided a trip to Canvey, Concord and any other avoidable places then a short trip to a familiar place will do for me. And probably a couple of hundred other Town Fans.

And if successful, we can dream of an away tie at Cambidge Utd or Bath.

Too easy! lol

ET it's the FA Cup & anything is possible even against a team two leagues above us!

Would of been nice to have got a draw somewhere original though was my main point.

Gazza-I do agree somewhat, however I always view it as it could have been being somewhere worse.

On a seperate note we have made national fame whatever happens next Saturday cos in the Sunday Mail today we are two places below the Euro Championship Qualifyers, France v's Romania and Israel v's Croatia in next weeks Pools Coupon at fixture number 39. Better still the Mail has forecast our tie as being a probable Score Draw..................................................mmmmmmmmmmm theirs a thought.
