Whats the oldest player you've ever seen

Taribo West often sticks around into his 40's. But I've just noticed a Tony Buckley who plays for Cheltenham. He is 43 but what makes him more remarkable is that he's been at this club since the first season in the game (2001/02 it's now 2025/26) thats 25 seasons!

But he's only managed 213 games (most as sub). He's only started 2 games in the last 15 seasons and didn't feature at all from 2014-2021. He did muster up 5 goals though in the 2004/05 all from the bench!

I may try and buy him <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That is clearly wrong Dan, players stats change constantly throughout the game. Old players tend to lose pace, stamina, reflexes and are moore injury prone.

Youth players will improve in key areas like passing and teamwork.

Old players will stick around for ages if they get played regularly, I had Gus Poyet hang around till he was 43.
