Why Monday?

Does anybody know why the replay is on Monday? I know they groundshare with Wimbledon, but surely Wednesday would have been better for both teams and fans. Will many of our fans be going at so short notice?

AFC Wimbledon are home to Cambridge Utd this Wednesday ( Blue Square Bet Prem ) and I believe own the ground ?

I notice Wealdstone have started playing on Monday nights as well this season. I guess the thinking is there will be no clashes with Champions League games, though of course Sky have brought back Monday night matches this season!

Point taken, but why not Tuesday then, unless they want a day in between to let the pitch settle I suppose

Tonight's scheduling is nothing to do with whether AFC Wimbledon are playing this week or not - it's because Monday is our designated midweek match night.
