Is It Greedy....

...to ask for the winners of the North Greenford United v Felixstowe & Walton United tie at home in the next round?!

We fully deserved the win yesterday in a match where they threw everyone behind the ball whenever they could. Bury came to play football against us on Tuesday and we took them apart, whereas Whitstable came to defend for their lives and take us back to their place which almost worked.

Saying that, we should have had 2 stonewall penalties in the second half, which had they been given and converted would have given a scoreline that was far more reflective of the match.

We tend to play better against the bigger sides so think we should fear nobody in the next round draw.

The majority of the game was very frustrating. We dominated possesion but our final pass was often lacking and we didn't really test their keeper enough especially during the first half.

Played better in the second half but still needed a fine finish from Alex Rhodes to win the game. Most definitely should have had a penalty for a blatant foul on Jay. Can't believe the ref didn't give it.

Thought John Easterford had a decent debut and looks a good signing.

Had a very enjoyable day out yesterday (forgetting the result).

Very friendly supporters, even the school children, whos rendition of 'come on you girls' (should be gulls) shown that their voices have yet to break.

Programme was first class like a league programme.

As for the game.We set out with 4-5-1,on the basis we have a bit of an injury crisis, which did'nt help whem our skipper went of injured and we had no cover on the bench.

An even first half, but CIFC took control in the second, with our player being red carded (even though allegedly the linesman gave it the other way).

We seemed to only get going when we went behind and had a half decent shout for a pen, turned down which on another day who knows..

So fair play to your team and good luck for the rest of the tournament and your League campaign.

back over the water next weekend for a trip to Ilford in the trophy.....wow!!!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed your day Steve. Thanks for your compliments on the Programme. Glen Eckett is our programme editor and deserves recognition for all the effort he puts into it. Nice one Glen!

I certainly 2nd UK Hammers comments, Glen now and Charlie and Glen before have always produced a great programme which is now better than ever. Programme sales are definately on the up so please keep buying one as its great value for money compared to some of the very average programmes that costs the same at many other grounds.

Remember you can get your name in it if you fancy sponsoring a player or match or maybe you have a son or daughter who would like to be a matchday mascot. Just ask one of the club officials for details.

Well done mate.
