FA CUP: Town 1 Concord Rangers 1

A very poor exhibition from both sides. How Concord beat Hastings 3-0 away on Tuesday night is a mystery. As for Craig Edwards assertion in the programme that on another night Billericay could have beaten Lowestoft 5-1, beats me - the man obviously has a sense of humour !!!!!

Today, Billericay never looked like scoring and did their best to avoid doing so from the spot with two attempts and with the eventual help of the post, thus grabbing the replay.

The main entertainment came from the referee, who will be up well into the night writing his reports on the yellow cards ( I lost count) and the straight reds for the Concord manager and Ian Cousins. To be honest, it wasn't that sort of a game and I thought Ian was very unlucky but you cannot put your hand anywhere near an opponents head when you have a trigger happy official in close attendance. However top marks to the referee's assistant, who spotted their keeper off the line for our penalty miss. Believe it or not this referee would have been officiating the Conference game between Luton and Mansfield next Tuesday but instead he will have the pleasure of going to Canvey Island!!!!!

The side obviously needs time to settle, but should have given a better account of themselves - Chatting and Charge made a difference when they came on and they now deserve an extended run. Surely we cannot play any worse next Tuesday !!!!

Not a lot I can add to this other than agree. I've seen better football at Cub level than this load of rubbish. Hardly surprising that our crowds are dwindling.

I can understand Danny not starting in view of his training at Stevenage but quite why Harrison is not playing more is hard to figure.

We seem to be a bit threadbare at the back now with suspensions and injuries. Any chance of Andree coming back from loan?

Just spent 15 mins trying to put a post on here only to be deleted (Hows ya luck). But as it's nearly 2am so i blame me.

Let have it onTuesday we'll proberly have more supporters at the game than them so let's do it.

Try and get a left footed player at left back and a left footer on the wing (or am i being silly)

Come on Town lets go

ps,Mr Luke to start.

Really don't wanna leave Thames Road losing or i'll end up in The Moon On The Square till 1am.

COYB:excited:

Provocation?

1. the act of provoking or inciting

2. something or SOMEONE that causes indignation, anger, etc.

3. (Law) English criminal law words or conduct that incite a person to attack another

Thanks for the dictionary reference, not really needed though; considering there was zero provocation...

Cousins bundled Stokesy to the ground and then trod all over him, and decided to swing at his head for good measure on the way back... Regardless of how much connection he made, any player worth their salt knows that you dont raise your hands to another player, especially with an official that was as poor as the excuse for a referee on Saturday...

That aside, I think you guys had your luck when the penalty was ordered to be re-taken, and in truth offered little attacking threat all game... Tried to go front to back far too often, with little intention to play fluid football...

Tuesday should be interesting, especially as the man in the middle will be expected to do a lot better after Saturday's farsical display of refereeing...

Good humor from the 'Ricay supporters behind the dug-outs by the way, seemed to develop a real affinity with Cowley...

Wasn't my misuse of the word Beachie!!!

And there is always several opinions on the events...of which the use of the word would be correct in it's use.
