Is someone going to say it

It is obvious to me that Jim Mcfarlane is not cut out at this present time to manage Hornchurch,we have played this bad before but have always gone in at half time and seemed to improve second half under Colin Mcbrides leadership.

For me,Jim is a good number two but seems incapable of rousing the team to the required standard. This season has been a non starter and i really can't see how we are going to improve.

In reality i would like Colin to come back as manager and for jimmy to work with him as i feel they worked well.

Something has to be done and soon as we can't keep misfiring like we are at the moment.

dont think its quite that bad lol

but we do need to start scoring,as i have said, not sure if he is the solution because of his age but young frankie williams is in my mind the most natural goalscorer at the club but is very young,he has a 100% record in goals to games ratio in the first team

not sure I agree but everybody is entitled to their opinion and you seem knowledgable. However would it not be better if you spoke to Jimmy face to face to guide him???

I would hate to be a manager. It's easy from the terraces to make decisions but much more difficult when you're actually the one in the hot seat.

I don't think Jimmy has done too bad, performances haven't been the best, but it's still early days.

Oh come on,just because i criticise the manager does not make me a romford fan.

You can see the forwards are frustrated,Joe flack has started kicking people because he is so frustrated,Tuohy does the same.

Don't be so insular to believe that every person who comes on here is a romford fan,it is simply not true. Many people have not posted on here for years but feel compelled to do so now.

I just believe that under Colin Mcbride we would see more passion

Keep the ball on the deck and move up as a unit, instead of endless long balls over the top that never come to anything, a perfect example of this was against Oxhey, in the second half they kept the ball on the deck and hey presto, just my opinion. I wouldnt personally blame the manager we dont lose many home games.

Find it very frustrating watching hornchurch play this season, which is also one reason of a few, why i dont go as much as i used to.

Cant understand why some of the players that we have, who have scored many goals for other clubs last season and then sign for Hornchurch and cant score at all?!?!?

Think things need to change quickly on the pitch other wise come end of season, it will be too late.

Ryman 1 North any one?

Hope not!!!!

Not a Romford fan are you girl?

Ha ha...lovin' this, you have a dinosaur from the old regime, when Harpo :taz: and Mata Hari :jade: were in charge, among you.

And there was me thinking (wrongly it appears), that you Chins were actually allowed to voice an opinion these days,

without threats of writs, violence and 'my dad's bigger than your dad' responses :ubad:.

Didn't read like that to me, but I am sure as poacher turned gamekeeper, you have to

defending the indefensible from time to time. Keep up the good work.

Sadly not. We were rather powder puff in attack unfortunately - having one striker doesn't help.

Had a couple of chances when it was 2-0, but they got a stonewall pen and made it four near the end.

Hampton didn't look that impressive, but maybe they didn't bother getting out of first gear?

I am sure our straw clutchers will be poring over their team sheet with a fined toothed comb.

Nice to see a big crowd for a change...officially 193 (I think) but looked seasonally adjusted to me.

Must be time for you to go back to bed for some 'milk-expressing' lessons, no?

I don't think anyone has told bridgeavenue not to post or to have an opinion. I agree with him that the performances haven't been of the standard that perhaps we were hoping for (I've said a couple of times that the forwards are getting isolated) but we weren't far away from the playoffs last season and I'm sure we can go on a good run this one. There's also been criticism of the team especially after the Canvey and Lowestoft games so I think it's an open enough forum.
