Very unlucky Hullbridge! We were all over them, had 7 clear cut chances and missed a penalty on 91m!Apsa got a goal in offside and one chance all game and it was like the Alamo. On another day we would have won 4-0.Never mind, there is always next game.futbolbud2.gif

On a serious note, the referee wasn't really happy about reading his name being flashed on a public domain.I'm sure you wouldn't be happy if it was your name.Don't matter the circumstances and frankly having 3 players sent off and 8 booked I believe shows a lack of discipline and failure to control your players.Leave the referees alone and always says the sin but never the sinner.grin.gif

Alan Smith for APSA?? was it Alex Smith?

Absolutely right, Beeswax, many thanks, its Alex Smith ! Apologies all round , sorry if media reports are incorrect.

Just dropping a note LC.Our dear secretary phoned in reporting a A.Smith as Apsa goalscorer(number 9) and it was as reported from their team list.It would help when compiling a team list club officials would put down the full extent player's names as we always do.An A.Smith could be anything Archibald,Agamennone,Alastair,Adonais,Aldred,Asa etc, etc, etc. Pardon my intrusion.coffee%20(2).gif

Hullbridge win but blast referee for giving match the go-ahead

10:21am Monday 12th January 2009

<br clear="all" style="height: 0px; line-height: 0; font-size: 0px; ">HULLBRIDGE Sports climbed to sixth in the table with a 3-0 win at London APSA in one of only two Essex Senior League games played.

And then Hullbridge condemned the match referee for giving the game the go-ahead on a surface which visiting boss Enrico Tiritera described as “resembling Romford ice rink”.

The Hullbridge party left their Lower Road base in temperatures of minus three degrees for the game at the Terence McMillan Stadium in Plaistow after being told the game was on at 11.30am.

Both sides were unhappy about being asked to play and Tiritera insisted: “Make no mistake, we’ll make our voices heard in the right areas.

“The safety and welfare of the players must always be the first and most important thing.”

Tiritera praised players of both sides for taking the conditions into account and not making dangerous tackles.

And he added: “I hope someone will have a word with the match official who forced us to play on a very difficult surface like that.”

Hullbridge took a 63rd minute lead through Nick Strachan’s 25-yard screamer and the same player made it 2-0 eight minutes later with a tap-in courtesy of Michael Hart’s cross And it was Hart who again supplied the cross after 80 minutes when substitute Shaun Stannard headed home his first league goal —little more than 30 seconds after coming off the bench.

Hullbridge, traditionally one of the struggling sides in the competition in recent years, can climb even higher if they can win tomorrow night at third-from-bottom Barking.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one was about health and safety of players and not about slagging a referee's performance off after having 3 players sent off and 8 booked. There is no comparison and you will find out that your efforts are all in vain.Sportsmanship is a word that is well known at Lower Road.We let actions talking louder than words.Think about for a minute if you can say the same..

Go and ask our referee yesterday what he thinks of it.And now let it rest because the only talk from now on will be the one on the pitch and won't be your Beatles songs to upset Coachie.I grew up being used to much tougher stuff on a football pitch. As those on that plane...let's rock and roll.

Sorry to go off topic but 3 players sent off 8 booked thats 17 disciplinary points in one match!!! worst case scenario- three straight reds- then total fines if paid online would be £406!!!

I am not sure where you are all getting 8 yellows and 3 reds.

It was 8 yellows, which in turn meant 3 reds or

3 players with 2 yellows (no straight reds)

2 other yellows.

but hey why let the facts get in the way.cheesy%20(2).gif

Coachie, glad you feel comfortable with me telling the ref today.dance%20(2).gif Tit for tat i think.

Also Coachie the place where you copied and pasted was not a website for the club, this is the website http://www.clubwebsi...BRIDGESWIFTSFC/

you copied from a supporters forum and misled the Essex FA.

I am not connected to the first team in any other way than a supporter, i am not on the Witham committee, i used to be before my son was born and am just a fan of our team who helps out voluntarily when i can, but have no connection to the first what so ever, . I paid my 8.50 like all other supporters to our chairman for the coach to Cockfosters in the boardroom, the league secretary was there if you dont believe me and i was writing on a fans forum not our website my opinion as a supporter not as a Manager..

Unlike you Coachie you are a Manager of a 1st team who was writing in a paper.... tut tut tut. I look forward to you copying the ESSEX FA in every Colchester Utd, Dagenham & Redbridge, Southend Utd's, Chelmsford City, Braintree Town, AFC Hornchurch, Canvey Island fans opinion of a referee or was it personal against me, you only met me once with my two year old son admitedly he tried to take your team sheet, but why hold a grudge against me..

Yes I have still got the hump! That little toddler was under instructions to nick all Hullbridge tactics and you let him on loose on purpose grin.gif

All clubs will be responsible for their official website or "similar computer related information system"which is within the public domain. It's all subject to interpretation .....does it mean that I can slag anyone off on this forum?Anyway in Rome we say"fra cani nun se mozzicano" and obviously your mole in high quarters worked really well because 2 hours later that referee name came off the forum article!grin.gif

Just to finish Looked at the fixtures and "la sfida all'OK Corrall is last game of the season and pray you have already won it...otherwise Coachie will be John Warp!!grin.gifLove ya to bitssmilewinkgrin.gif
