We have this morning completed the registration of Jordan Collins, a left-sided defender.

A former Ipswich Town schoolboy, Jordan has previously played for Cambridge City (2006-09), Weymouth (2008-09 on loan) and Ebbsfleet Utd (2009-10).

The registration was completed in time for Jordan to be eligible for the FA Cup tomorrow.

Kel - he played for Cambridge Utd. He signed for Cambridge City but was transferred to Cambridge Utd after playing for CRC in the Eastern Counties Lge.

A second year pro, former Ipswich Town schoolboy Jordan joined Cambridge City when he was released by the Suffolk side and was one of the boys to transfer to United along with most of City's Youth Development set-up in the summer of 2006.

Left-footed and a good passer of the ball, Jordan broke into the first team after sterling performances for the CRC (Ridgeons League) and youth (FA Youth Cup) teams and has played mainly at left-back, although he can also play in midfield.

Jordan made his first team debut on Boxing Day 2006 in the match against Rushden & Diamonds, and was one of three scholars to earn a pro deal at the end of the 2006-07 season.Although he only managed one sub appearance last season, he signed a new deal for this season and made a further first team start before joining Weymouth on loan for the rest of the season.
