Colliers Wood 2 v 4 Egham Town, spoilt in my opinion by the Constant shout of REF,REF,REF, by both sets of Players at the best Ref.I have seen in The Combined Counties in over a year watching,Mr Oaks was his name fit as a flea,overuled himself on 2 occassions when he made an error,with the help of his assistants.The ColliersWood 9,never stopped all night,players from both sides were shouting for their opponents to be booked.Mr Oaks you have a bright future in the game,do not think I can say the same about the Players though.Wished I had stayed in now

funnt enough smudge i thought i had wasted my night as well. thought the second pen was called wrong by ref. like to wish the colliers wood player, taken to hospital a speedy return.

Thought the ref was very good last night. Although i am still at a lose to the booking of our number 5. He gave the foul to our player but booked our player for pulling their players his shirt ! ((work that one out)

Smudge: That was the refs expalnation after and despite your claims it was not for dissent.

Bit dissapointed about the negativity on here regarding the players reaction to the referee's decisions.

I have yet to attend a game when no team has shouted "ref, ref, ref" after a decision. Its a natural reaction !

There was very little foul launguage during the game as the referee spoke to both side before the game about this.

I believe their was one booking all night for dissent ?

In regards to the game i thought we were awful in the first half (again) and Colliers wood should have been in front at half time.

Second half i was pleased with our reaction and we played a lot better. Overall scoreline was flattering but that how it goes sometimes.

In regards to the second penalty this could have gone either way. Pomroy was backing but the colliers wood c/h did foul him,

Dont normally see them given though.

Think Colliers Wood have a very good side there and Tony has done a great job.

Think they will a top 6 side this year. Two boys up front were very good

Not to sure about the old guy with the pony tail and cap who shouts non stop during the game.(thought i was bad at times )

Thought some of his comments about Egham were uncalled for.

"here's another missile" "that all they have got" "the back four cant play" etc etc

Anyway back to the league on Saturday at Dorking

Not a bad cup tie to help me celebrate my birthday IMHO.

Team manager Johnny Humphries is the chap you refer to. He is quite a character but means no harm at all. It's his way of motivation!

& an entertaining game also, loads of chances being made, post & crossbar being hit at least 6 times & credit to both set's off players they just wanted to play football

Steve, so you were right,I was wrong,you were right to complain as you did,but the Colliers chappie did raise an arm on your player,which happened before your player tugged him,but received no booking,as you were given the Free Kick.Poor decision then Mr.Oakes,only 9 out of 10.How on earth did Colliers No 9 stay on the pitch for 90 minutes,he was there Captain,but what a bad attitude,even after the game finished he kept it up,he went over to the 3 Officials,shook the 2 Assistants hands but not the Refs,who as you do offered his.And if Pomroy is not allowed to hold the ball up,as is his trait,Steve do not moan if Refs say using your body to protect the ball is not allowed,but grabbing someone from behind is an excuse we are in queer street,goes on non stop at this level.Definite Penalty.Hope Sam Mead makes a speedy recovery,it looked a nasty mid air collision with his team mate.Landing flat on his back from height.

steve you had a very similar penalty given against you at chessington. i think your reaction was very differnt to colliers wood bench. if pommers had backed in on the halfway line he would have given a free kick away.that is what makes this game so good, we all have our own opinions. some are tainted because of how close we are to the situation.

I do agree with you on the pommers penalty and was surprised when it was given, however cant agree with you on the pen at Chessington.

That decision was appalling ! (hence my rather lively reaction)

I wish i had reacted like the Colliers Wood Bench as thanks to the referee's kind words to the league i am now £50 out of pocket
