Smudge, as is his way at games loves to have a chat with anyone and everyone when at a game,just to ween a few snippets of information.We all remember the Disaster Cove suffered last season when their ground was flooded with sewage.Well I found out last night that the Club suffered a great loss of Income due to this,but had a few Players on Contract,which they had to Honour as the Gents they are,but I was told that JOHNNOJUDO,YES OUR JOHNNO, was given what was owed to him,but gave it straight back to the Club.Now in this day and age,how many Players would of done that very few in my opinion.Johnno you are a true star,when your Club needed help,you helped in the best way,from your Heart.Praise should also go to Luke at Hartley Witney and his Committee who in Coves time of need allowed them to play at their ground Free of Charge.When in time of need you find out who your Friends are.SO JOHNNO STAND UP AND TAKE THE PLAUDITS,YOU DESERVE THEM.I never thought that Players existed like you anymore,am glad I have met you,a true CLUBMAN.

It was just a simple gesture knowing the problems the club was experiencing. After all, if the club folds financially, where do i play my football??

 

Not many clubs would welcome an ageing 32 (at the time) year old footballer would they??

Cup final, extra time, swerve, dip, on the volley, hit the crossbar, a forum gold member scored it.
