To be fair-also good support from the home fans for their team.

Workmanlike performance-i thought margate the better side throughout but needed that two goal cushion. Not sure why we should have had it wrapped up in first half as chances were few and far between for both sides.

Great 3 points-its just the result that counts-i don't think we can expect too much on tuesday nights-to be fair-the players will have done a full days work so i think we expect too much.

We battled well and dug deep to grind out the result-marvellous.

Though Jay was mom-best i've seen him play for ages.

Everyone did fairly well though.

Robinson gets better and better in central defence-and Ball was faultless tonight.

Great first half from marsden-but faded in second before taken off-possibly injured in first half anyway.

2 classic headed goals from great beckhamish deliveries by Wayne Wilson.

Yes, in the end a good workmanlike performance as Michael says as we ground out the win. However gifting them a goal in the 1st couple of minutes wasn't helpful.Keister passing the ball back towards goal which Turner had called for. Unfortunately Turner had come out to a position other than the one the ball was pushed back to. An own goal looked a certainty as the ball was clearly going into the net but their guy just made sure of it by tapping it in over the line.(Later Ball passed back a bit too strongly & Turner was put in trouble again but just managed to get rid of the ball. A second poor back pass which could have gifted them a 2nd but we got away with it 2nd time).

Ismail goes down injured & limps off soon after their goal. Introduction of Wilson was a blessing in disguise really as he harried all game got plenty of crosses in and a few efforts on goal himself, but mainly the two spot on crosses in for the two goals were real perfection. Wilson worked like a trojan out there tonight.

Two great powerful headers from Welford & Robinson for the two goals.

Folkestone volleyed against upright & kept putting the ball into danger area but to be honest they weren't really creating many clear cut chances & once we settled down after a disastrous 1st 15 minutes we looked the better side with a few good chances.

2nd half & a much much better defensive performance all round.Keister marshalled superbly in this second period. No gifts this half as all played extremely well at the back & looked very solid back there.

Turner turned one round the post & they shot over when well placed but other than & the previous volley onto the post they weren't THAT threatening. Only when we stopped harrying the opponents & dropped all players deep did we begin to feel more pressure but that was only for a brief period thankfully.

Welford had a goal disallowed for being offside (dubious decision) - (a few too many offsides for my liking last night from our forwards) & Grant with a one-on-one with the keeper when clean through SHOULD have wrapped the game up near the end but dallied with his final effort,(wanted another touch when it wasn't necessary & could & should have buried it a second earlier).

I think similarly to previous games we could have won more cosily but took it to the wire again & gave us supporters some nervous moments near the end.

Lacey,Wilson & especially Robinson impressed me tonight over the 90 minutes.Robinson, again as Michael mentions is improving every single game. He's going to be hard to keep if any scout from the league pops their head in sometime. He is playing out of his skin & doing everything right including timing his tackles much better & intercepting beautifully & now looking "class". Marsden was superb in the 1st half but for a 2nd time failed to maintain that for another 45 minutes.

Money spent for Welford was well spent indeed. A true striker who also works his socks off up front & who can actually finish. Saunders as ever put himself about & worked hard.

All others did well too overall. No one really had a poor 90 minutes out there. Overall the better side won on the night & deservedly so.

Super away support. Must have been getting on for 100 there.

Ian O'Connel has assembled a decent squad here, small as it is & they look play-off material now that's for sure, (I didnt think so earlier in the season I must admit, but having seen them play & seen some of our opponents think so now). They are all playing very well overall & working extremely hard for results but more importantly are now being consistent .

He & they deserve a BUMPER crowd on Saturday.
