By going to matches and chatting to complete strangers.At Camberley's game on Saturday,I was informed that they Camberley had signed 5 Badshot Lea players and 4 Cove Players,now this got my mind thinking,who besides Chertsey last season were alledged to be spending big bucks,yes Badshot Lea.So why have these Players come to Camberley,the usual thing that always come to mind is more money,but this particular person said No that was not the reason,the Players did not want to play at Godalming,extra travelling etc.But why I ask myself did Matt Peters and Darren Blake,Badshot's 2 best Players when I watched them last season,not do the same.Could it be Money?As for the Cove players nothing was revealed,so why they moved is a mystery.The pleasing thing for me though was that Camberley played a YOUTH TEAM PLAYER,who had an excellent game on the right side of midfield,pace,trickery,and when he gets to cross a ball better,he will not be at this level long.Is he on Contract because you know what happens when their not,yes POACHERS appear and turn their heads.

Not really that surprised that a youth team player was playing, as Cambo have a decent youth set up and if they do not get the chance what's the point? In the Vase on Saturday we had our youth team left back playing (17), plus 5 lads who have just turned 20, one of which was my captain. Two forwards were 19 years old. All of these lads are certainly good enough to play on a regular basis, which they do. The great thing about the CCL for me is that so many of the teams are full of young players and this is great for them, as they will hopefully become much better players for the experience. Sometimes we may think that a bit more current experience in the side would not go amiss, but as long as these lads keep performing, they will continue to get games.

i heard a rumour the other day that badshot lea's wage bill was over 1k a week ?

I think we used 8 youth players in the first team at some stage last season Smudge, including the one who played on Saturday.

And our reserves fielded many more.

The only problem is that a lot of them go to University when they hit 18/19 so clubs lose them. It wouldn't be a problem if they went to local Uni's such as Guildford or Reading but they always insist on going to places like Leeds and Aberdeen.

Yeah VP we have a similar problem round our Area,With our youngsters they do not move away as Far as Aberdeen though,just Brixton and High Down UNI'S

Yeah VP we have a similar problem round our Area,With our youngsters they do not move away as Far as Aberdeen though,just Brixton and High Down UNI'S

 

 

..... and if you're really good, you go to the I.O.W Uni by the sea.

Haven't been on here much so this may be old news but what I learned today on facebook was that pearcey is out with a possible cruciate and Craig Bradshaw has left Chertsey because he was "messed about with his money".

ChertseyTown has not posted since the Season started except earlier today, which I missed. NICE GUY,and you havent answered a couple of my queries about yourself,has anyone on here met NICE GUY.loves a bit of gossip.Like a dog with a bone.

Messing about with other peoples money is a recipe for trouble. I remember getting home early one night and found my missus upstairs rubbing a bundle of £20 notes on her ankles, knees and elbows which struck me as strange.

I told her to stop messing about with my money, to which she said "rubbish, it's a joint account, mine are hurting, and that's why I'm rubbing them down with it"- completely had me on that one, but at first it did have the potential to cause an argument!
