Camberley 2 v 0 Epsom and Ewell,a very entertaining game well Refereed and Officiated.The first half was all Camberley kicking down the slope, they played some nice flowing football,opening up the Epsom defence at will,Borg came to their rescue on 2 occasions with smart saves low down.Then Mr. Post and Mr Bar came too Epsom's aid denying Camberley the Lead.But Epsom's luck was about to run out when in the space of 5 mins,Blount headed home a right wing corner from close in,followed by Griffiths heading home from close range from a left wing corner,2-0 half time could of been 6-0.Do not know what Camberley put in the tea at half time,but it certainly aided Epsom,who were playing much better down the hill,and Foster in the Camberley Goal, pulled off two fines saves to deny them a foothold in the game.Overall Camberley were deserved winners, and Title contenders on this showing.Met VPCTFC.and eefc supp.at match, had a good chat but no Kroons there.Both sets of Players should be applauded for the way the game was played,hard but fair,not over moaning at Officials,and only 1 swear word in 90 mins.M.O.M .MATT GRIFFITHS CAMBERLEY

Very comfortable. Chertsey always looking like winners. Although i believe Mole Valley will easily finish top half.

Very glad to see Jack Francis Score as he is always fantastic for us week in week out.

Entertaining Smudge. Love the different threads that you start and you are bound to upset a few people with your comments. Shouldn't make you stop though. It would be a boring place without you

 

Thought the first caution might have been a bit early as well but 2 fouls in 30 seconds earned the caution. Not even time to have a word with the offender about the first foul. He was good as gold after that so it worked in this game anyway

CB Hounslow 2-3 Cobham

 

Smash and grab!!! 2 goals in the last 2 minutes. We went a goal down after 5 mins. Well worked move finished off well. Fell further behind when the ginger winger decided he'd go on a mazy run and dink past Rouse.

 

To be fair I think it was us on top but go caught on the counter twice but going two goals down knocked the wind out of our sails. We got the first goal came from a corner when lang headed in from close range.

 

Second half was even and then a 50-50 between Rouse and Hounslow striker resulted in a nasty knee injury so I replaced Rouse in goal. Hounslow then thought they would try and batter me but i'm an older, wiser keeper from the keeper who turned up there a year ago so not a problem.

 

 

Of course there was one or two hairy moments with Leech making a stunning saving challenge and Rob 'wolf' Anderson was solid as a rock. On top of that dannyboy93 returned to the side earlier than he anticipated and filled in at right back superbly. Then with time running out and two minutes to go. Leech flew down the wing twice and squared to Day to smash home the equaliser and winner.

Super match today at the Arena.

 

Hythe & Dibden are no mugs but they couldn't beat the Tram.

 

A 8th minute penalty was justly given and Hythe then 60 seconds later. Trams netted again before half time. Second half saw a third for the trams. All in all a well deserved win.

 

Interestingly the Ref was a little invisible in the first half but did seem to have to get more involved in the second. He was very good and deserves a 8/10

 

Hythe's #4 and I got a bit of banter going. A nice bunch of players and supporters.

And there I was with money in my hand waiting for Smudge to appear in the bar after the game to buy him a pint and he never showed! Oh well - that's £2.70 towards my gold membership. If I don't buy you a pint at the next game we're both at that'll be my fiver!

 

The one swear word Smudgey refered to was justified. When a goalie's setting up a wall he doesn't want another of his own players getting in the way so he quite rightly told him to 'F' off out of the way.

 

I'm just wondering how many appearances Borg has made for E&E. He seems to have been there years. Still a decent goalie.

Yes Krooner .. the ref got a 8. As I said he was invisible in the first half. That is the sign of a good ref, doesn't interfere or disrupt the game in anyway. Shame he had to get his book out in the second half but a few players on both teams pushed their luck with challenges or comments so he had to take action. But each one was deserved! He was only young too.

 

Did find the one of the linesmen amusing. A portly chap who didn't keep up with play and had a knee bandaged quite heavily!

 

Just hope we manage to get another good one for the next round.
