I think the sloppy goal is definitely something we need to work on - we should have been ahead by the time they scored and with 10 men, we could have really struggled. Coyne's red card was silly, with the first yellow for what looked like verbals and the second apparently for retaliation.

I think we should have tested their keeper a lot more - he isn't first choice, and doesn't look like the most agile of chaps. Atherstone seem to be suffering a bit at the moment. They were previously unbeaten but have had their budget slashed and new people have come on to the board. I was able to get talking to one of them, and there seems to be an air of optimism despite the issues. I think they did reasonably well with neither side able to really play good football on a difficult pitch. Credit must go to us for coming back and winning the game, and somehow I always felt we'd do it despite the man disadvantage.

Had their budget slashed but retained all their players for the present.

Some of the 'sloppy goals' are just down to players not doing their jobs properly.

One problem in particular is down our left flank where we seem allow the oppositions wide man far too much time and space to run at us and invariably leads to a dangerous cross into the penalty area.

Agree with that Reading. The problem has only come about since we have started playing a very narrow midfield. The reason is that before Murphy would go bombing forward knowing he is covered by the left winger whoever it was (many players last year).

Now if he bombs forward there is a big gap......however saying that we are creating much more due to the freedom our midfield has and so the argument swings both ways.

The solution is to try and get the best of both worlds but thats obviously not as easy in a confident match winning side as all will want the ball
