That romford will not be grounsharing with Aveley from next season and they are looking for a 5 year groundshare at brentwood

The bloke i heard this off is usually in the know for local matters and says he heard it from someone high up at romford, not sure myself whether its true but brentwood is closer to romford than aveley

Only thing is that i thought they had to be in their new ground within 4 years otherwise their agreement would be scrapped??

Don't Mountnessing already ground share at Brentwood? Could make things awkward.

Must be a slow week for news down in RM14, Haven't you got any nappies to change or birds to ring?

And yes, Mountnessing do play on the same pitch as Brentwood - not at the same time, obviously,

unless of course they meet in a cup game.

For God's sake, why do I have to spell everything out for you bird brain?

Bird brain loves to go off at a tangent when he is bored. There was talk of a merger between the sides

back in 1969, then Chelmsford moved in (with the assistance of Bairstow Eves) and swallowed them

whole - a la us and Collier Row. :frown:.

The ink was still wet on the so-called merger document when the JCB's moved in on Brentwood's old

ground and within six months, lots of lovely new housing for 250 families had been erected, making

somebody a cool fortune.

It's just a consideration - under the current economic climate I think it might be difficult to get the money for Westlands and you will be a similar situation as Oldchurch (not sure of my facts there)

At the end of the day I'm a Hornchurch fan so it's not the end of the world for me but most non-league clubs are struggling at the moment so it might make sense.

I wonder how many clubs have had their grounds taken from them?

Have you got that hook out of your gob yet coupy ???

What, you mean it's not true?

I suppose with goals as rare as you making it to a bar in pole position in RM14, you need

something to prattle on about.

As Oscar Wild famously said: "It's better to be talked about than not talked about".

As for you young Westy, I am now fit as butcher's dog with five legs - with an erection.

I shall be shaking off the sawdust in time for our FA Cup tie next week and if you fancy it,

a light ale or two one Sunday soon at, may I suggest, the Ship in Gidea Park?

Easy for you as the 498 goes from Brentwood and the stop is right outside said establishment.

Try and grab the arboreal one but not sure about bird brain yet, depends if he does his

diaper duty and Alice lets him out to play for a while.
