Knaphill should of kept their team together from 2 seasons ago when they lost the league on the last day, they had a good footballing team then and a good team spirit about them the times when i saw them play, whats going wrong this year? I see from the website Gavin Brainch has left now too?

With MATT EDWARDS( now westfield captain) MARK TOMLINSON(Prob best centre back in league) WOODY CARDONA ( now at Cove) GARY CAMPBELL ( Sheerwater) WES HARRISON( ASH UTD) PARRINGTON( WINDSOR AND ETON) also letting great experiance go in Lee Crozier, Micky walters and Old man Vic flynn..

If you spoke to all these i kind of feel they would have left including gav brainch because of the gaffer..............

any ideas....

The Chaiman surley cant stand for this for much longer and if players are complaining and now leaving then there is a big issue...................management change coming i feel

Nice positive opening post Bizzychops - welcome aboard. welcome.gif

Smudge - where's his fiver, comes on here spreading gossip without paying, whatever next smile.gif

Fiver???????

Knaphill its a shame but they will struggle unless they make a change ASAP, the manager may do the honest thing and step down.

Was it a league game last night? When we played them a few weeks ago they were decent a probably deserved a draw. Im sure there come back but i know its september but have they lost too many already! They got good players it must be a confidence thing at the moment!

Bookham 1-2 Horley

Epsom 1-5 Guildford

Bad Lea 5-1 Chobham (cup)

Sandhurst 2-0 Chertsey (cup)

Good result for Sandhurst last night. Don't think anyone expected that (including me) except the boys at Sandhurst. Even if Chertski changed the team round as people say, they would have still expected to win the game, just like Man U would have expected to beat Rangers last night.

Yes it has been a terrible start - It is a good setup at Knaphill starting from the chairman down to the players its just not coming together at the moment - we need to get a good win under our belts and hopefully that will spark some confidence in the team. Teams will lose more games this year than any other because of the standard of the league - i think teams could lose 10 games this season and still get promoted!

Dont feel there needs to be a change in management - if you have seen our games this season there have been a games where we have played good football ,created lots of chances and been the better side and not come away with the points. We have had some bad performance too but every team does. Its just not coming together in front of goal - i dont think the manager can influence the players ability to finish or the decision making of the players once they are on the pitch - yes you can train them but how much can you learn doing 3 hours per week training - only thing a manager can do is bring in new faces to score goals which will cost money.

Chertsey made 5 changes to the team that played at Andover.

The bench was:

Bradshaw - no 1 gk

Francis - Captain

Treacher - first choice left back

Rouco - played every other game in midfield this year

Papali

Papali/Rouco came on for the last 20 minutes.

Treacher for 15 minutes.

I believe in the first half Sandhurst had the better of the game and to agree with fizzer they wanted it more.

2nd half, especially last 25 minutes, Chertsey had so many chances and really should have taken the game to extra time.

i personally think its insulting to play a weakened team. But maybe i am wrong.

Lammas have lost 2 already......... maybe the top 2 but 3rd place is usualy a little further back from the top two. Knaphill lost 10 last season and finished 3rd............ and this season is even more competitive.
