FA CUP Draw

Who gives a t*ss about a tinpot County League side eh?!

*pulls up deckchair, awaits usual suspects*

Behave yourself, Nick, and get on with watching Kevin Blackwell! Nice (?) work if you can get it...

You know I used to rent out deckchairs on the beach....so that'll be a quid please mate!!

No Blackwell today, thankfully!!

Lovely Stuff - our board would agree to anything that suits THEM, not WFC so if they fancied a 10AM kick off, it wouldn't surprise us!!

Hi RebelNick, I was very interested and amused to read your postings, as I am Enfield born and breed, support ETFC and have followed Enfield all my life.

I have done the complete opposite to you, in that I now live on the south coast, have been to the Worthing ground on the odd occasion, and have a couple of friends who are loyal Worthing supporters. Like you, I have been hoping for this draw for quite a long time. Know you and your supporters will be made very welcome at Goldsdown Road. No predictions on the result, but do think home advantage will have a big influence and swing the outcome In Town's favour. Agree?

No! ;)

What brings you to Littlehampton? I'm sure you've been to Worthing so you'll understand why I got out as soon as I could! Which Rebels do you know? I'm usually found behind the goal with large hair and an even larger voice!

I'd be happy with a replay to be honest and we seem to be growing into a better side every match we play. We've a settled back four now which has helped and we've gone from letting in 6 in 2 to 2 in 2! The next 2 league games will go a fair way to indicating who'll be favourites i think.

Looking at your vids, I think it'll be a close match. Admittedly at the start of the season I had you down for play offs and us top ten, although it's the cup and all. I'm hoping our support can nullify any home advantage you'll have as well!

I'm sure we'll be running a coach as well, should you fancy, if you win, I'm sure they'll even let you on the return trip!!

Ha, ha, didn't expect you to agree.

Have friends and relatives in West Sussex, love the seaside and general way of life on the south coast. Very healthy! Know a couple of your directors and Ian your former programme editor.

ETFC will prove a much more difficult challenge for you than Ashford, and they are a good side. They will be up for it, so expect a very hard match, and disappointment. Sorry !!

I would have been happy to speak to our league and get our game moved

It would be interesting to see what a Sunday kick off may have done for the 'Brimfield 90210 FC' attendance. Who knows they may even break the 50+ barrier with a Sunday kick off! As it is I think this lot include players and officials in the attendance figures they post on the Football Mitoo website!

Gazza - good excuse to find a carvery then ;)

Littlehampton - I won't quote, it's starting to get a bit massive! Small world isn't it?! I'm sure I'll bump into you at Brimmo next week! If we can play for the full 90 I think we'll give you a good test and I really don't think there'll be much between the sides, we'll have to wait and see I suppose! Good result for your lads today, would maybe have taken a point before we went to Faversham, but not with 15 mins left and us coasting 2v0 up!

RebelNick - well done on securing a point at Faversham yesterday. Note your defence is still leaking goals ! That can prove very costly when you are up against a good strong side.

Would have loved to have met you at Brimsdown for a bit of banter. Unfortunately, and I hate to admit it, I won't be there as we booked a holiday in Tunisia a couple of months back and we go away next Friday.

Really sorry to miss this match. But sure 'Town' will do themselves justice on the day and not let me and everyone else down. Remember Rudi Hall when he played at Worthing? Well he is younger than ever, still a great player, and scored his 100th goal for the club yesterday. Not bad eh !

Yeah, I remember Rudi, good little player, decent engine on him. Well done to him on getting his hundred. Let's hope he does'nt get 101 til a few weeks time! ;)

Don't you worry about our back 4! Our lads are determined to put these slips right and we're looking much improved after early performances!

Both sides sound decent going forward with plenty of hard work and industry to them...I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest a 5 goal thriller!

Shame you won't be there, we'll have to wait for the Trophy for a pint and a bit of banter!!

Here's hoping for a classic cup-tie. A five goal thriller !? Anything is possible, but for most 'Town' fans, think a 5 goal thriller would be a repeat of the recent 5-0 home win against Harlow Town.

Before then, both clubs have important league matches this week. Will be interested to see how your guys fare away to Eastbourne Town on Wednesday evening, because if we overcome Leatherhead in the FA Trophy a week Saturday, we could meet Eastbourne Town at home in the next round. We probably won't meet in the Trophy this season, but if things go well for both clubs, we could get promoted and meet in the Ryman Premier next season. Fingers crossed !!

Not having a pop gent's but the lease holder's are GOLDSDOWN HOLDINGS. Enfield 1893 are NOT sub-letting from Enfield Town. It is a joint venture BOTH teams are JOINT ground shareing and both pay rent to goldsdown holdings. As for your game being moved to the sunday, should have got hold of Enfield1893 and asked them if they could move there game!!! As it's an F.A cup game and take's priorty over league games.

DUKE OF DORK!!!!!!!! 103 Sat and creaping up mate, every game.

ETFC and Brimsdown Rovers SSC set up a holding company and entered into a 50/50 groundshare between themselves at Goldsdown Road.

So you could argue that EFC 1893 are now sub-letting one half of that original Groundshare from the former controllers of Brimsdown SSC.

Getting a gate 100 is not bad.Although flying high in the league and with the combined fanbase of two clubs to call upon, that is nothing to really write home about. Also not sure how many will turn up with reduced spectator facilities next season.Especially with the promised re-incorperation of Brimsdown FC into the clubs name.
