Fa cup 2nd qualifying round

Eastside Urchin

Recommended Posts

Good draw for us - Not sure what the attendance will be on that - we seem to be averaging in the 200s at the moment though. May pick up after Saturday.

It's a chance to play Brentwood in a competitive match rather than a friendly.

Anybody now how much the winner gets for this round?

If you have read the last few weeks recorders then you will have noticed that Romford receive far better coverage than us,both sides had a fa cup game at home against opposition two levels below but Romford got a whole back page preview while we got a little paragraph at the bottom of romfords

not sure if it has anything to do with it but a few weeks ago we has some posters made and on the Friday evening I got an e mail from someone at the recorder saying they would be delivering them on the Saturday and could they take some pictures of the stands they had provided For the free papers we get when delivering them.I e mailed back to say we was away that day and no one would be at the ground and despite 2 or 3 further e mails from myself I have had no reply.Since then we seem to have taken second fiddle even though our gates are over double that of romfords therefore you would think that our news would be read more widly, we still get the newspapers delivered to the ground to give away bur this obviously benefits the paper as free advertising, maybe there is nothing in it just seems a bit odd

I do not like the idea of giving away a free Recorder as it may hit the programme sales.

If they want to give away a free paper, then only put it out at the end of the match.

And there is little point in giving the paper away as it simply advertises Romford matches and does not give much space to the only team to play in Havering.

Dagger,I make you right, didn't actually read the recorder till Saturday night, had I read our measly report earlier I wouldn't of bothered putting them out

they don't hit our programme sales in all honesty as not many people take them and we don't go out of our way to give them away, they are just there
