A few things...

Recommended Posts

As some of you may have seen on Facebook, I am off travelling around the UK from next Tuesday for 4 weeks, taking in 14 places up and down the UK. Before I head off there is a few things I need to ask:

Firstly, does anyone have any experience of wearing STFC colours at other clubs' grounds? I am going to be taking in games at Gateshead, FC United of Manchester, Birmingham City and Newport County (along with Southampton, Wembley and hopefully the STFC game against Chippenham in the Trophy, and multiple Premier League stadium tours), and I was wondering what reception I would get turning up at the turnstiles in a Slough shirt. Wouldn't want to turn up and not be allowed in!

Also, I have recently taken on the job of delivering matchday posters to the Cippenham (Elmshott Lane) area. While I am away could someone please take up this job for a couple of posters? I am back around the time of the Northwood game in October and will reclaim the job on my return. The list of businesses can be found in the matchday programme and posters (and hopefully a letter from Steve Easterbrook for the businesses at some point) can be collected from the club. Mark44 should (I hope) be covering Slough High Street area anway, it's just Cippenham that needs doing.

Finally, I am running a 10K in Plymouth on the 24th of October for the Bobby Moore Bowel Cancer Fund with one of my friends as we both train up for the Reading Half Marathon next year. If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause (bowel cancer has affected mine and my friend's families in the last 15 years) you can donate on our justgiving page http://www.run10kforbobbymoorefund.org/ellieanddans_race

Thanks, hopefully the good league results will keep coming in while I am away. I will be at the Marlow and Atherstone games then I am off!

You should be okay with the Slough shirt. I've only ever got a positive (and sometimes sympathetic) reaction from other fans when I turn up at other games or mingle with other fans sporting Slough colours. Have a good trip and good luck with the 10k!
