watched the game yesterday spirit of the players soon evaporated after the first goal, the defence lacked the abilty to pass the ball out instead content to smash long balls up the field and give the ball away again and again , come on lads lets believe in ourselfs

I think you,re right about the first goal, coming when it did, pretty much nailing the game.Conceding on 45 and 46 is a disaster at any level. But for the rest I think you're harsh.Chesham were 2 rungs higher and I thought Burnham, aside from the horrific 2 minutes, gave a good account of themselves. If you looked at the difference in resources and the backgrounds of the players, its huge.

No I think if they'd try to pass their way round that side they'd have been murdered-I was actually quite impressed, but there you go!!!!!!

i hear but having watched the takley game as wel, although we won i could see that we were still giving to many long balls away in fact we were nearly 3 nil down ,the number of early goals against is a worry i agree that the youngsters are getting there but if you take on board this is a learning curve season for them then should they not be encouraged to relax and play also not sure the lad ash is a right back fair player but better in the middle ?

I think conceding right on half time after having defended so well and having saved a penalty would deflate any side let alone such a young one as Burnham. Also knowing the players they were very disappointed to concede such a bad goal. Then to come out second half still in the game and give away another bad goal, so quickly was a real kick in the teeth. If the spirit had gone then I thik Chesham would have won by 6 or 7. I'd like to congratulate the players for keeping going and were unlucky towards the end not to get a goal for all of their endeavours, hitting the post and a couple of efforts blocked.

I know for a fact that the Chesham management were very complimentary towards the team and you have to remember that they have been together for a couple of seasons now whilst Burnham are still trying to gel. Everyone associated with the club should be proud of what they acheived. I know that Willo the manager is.

Also Shrewdest I'm sure if you wished to air your views with Willo he would be very open and willing to listen. Maybe you should speak to him after the Stansted game on Saturday
