Two Positives From Today

1. England beat Wales in the rugby, setting us up nicely for the WC.

 

2. The rezzies beat East Thurrock Utd by 4 goals to nil. Moore and Parsons got one each, whilst Scott (Reid?) scored two.

It was not a pretty sight. I don't think I've ever seen so many passes go astray and the ball given away so easily. Not only that, the team spirit seems sadly lacking, they are starting to bicker amongst themselves. Thank goodness the next game is only two days away, perhaps we can bounce back and get this one out of our system.

Hitchin had 7 players in their side today that have come through from their youth set up and it showed. They were an average side with 4 1st teamers out but they were hungry for it and therein lies the real problem. Our two strikers were taken off. How was that going to make any difference, when the problem was our midfield which, apart from Mark Graham, who worked tirelessly, was playing about 100 yards behind the front two and for the most part, not at the races. Let's hope we see a big improvement at Heybridge, we need to.
