FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round Arlesey Town FC v ETFC

A very pleasing win for the Town this afternoon and a good solid performance all round. Apart from a period between roughly the 25th and 35th minute in the first half when we fell asleep and they had 2 or 3 very good chances to take the lead, we were much the better team in my opinion and controlled the game.

Good to see Stuart back at the club and he caused them no end of problems this afternoon. Unfortunately it would appear that he has broken his wrist/lower arm in a collision with the fencing with about 15 to play which is a blow. Hopefully Stu makes a full and quick recovery and I wish him well.

Good individual performances all around the pitch and all in all a very good day at the office and puts Tuesday result firmly behind us.

Up the Town!!

I was'nt at the game, but my experience tells me that SB presence in our mix again is like having the family back together again (minus Phil Kane, who is present on the sidelines). SB is like a catalyst that makes things happen around the pitch and scores goals too, we dont have another like him as the other forwards are different.

Good to see Dan Forward getting a start, he impressed me last season in the few appearances he made, maybe he'll earn that shirt for more games now.

Wins though can cover up cracks in the team, How would those present at the game class the stregth of our opponents???

Well done everyone, certainly a morale boosting win, we are back on track.

A good day at the office from what I saw. All round good team performance , changes were made to the shape and personnel I believe after scouting our opponents , the research paid off and a thoroughly deserved win. A huge improvement from tuesday . Credit to the lads as this was a tough tie against opponents looking/expected to win their league.
