I would like to wish all CCL clubs involved in the FA Cup the best of luck this weekend. I personally think South Park can win 2-1 as they are a very fit side and I'm sure they will be well drilled and ready for this challange.

Bu**er. As I used to drink in the 3 Horseshoes wanted to revisit it for a lunch time drink. Was Hoping Margate would draw South Park next round.

South Park and their Supporters were a Credit to the C.C.L. in this match against Ryman Premier side Cray Wanderers.With the 3 tier gap between the sides,the early exchanges were going to be important,Cray with their slick passing,and quick skilful forwards,who all through the match overplayed to an extent,were met by a very hard working Park side,who were set up in a 4-5-1 shape.However on 15 minutes the outcome of the Referee's decision after a 50/50 challenge between 2 players,where the South Park 10 went down screaming in agony,broken leg seemed a certainty,999,phone at ready,the Ref. reacted by sending the Cray Player off.The Park player made an instant recovery,to the extent that when he reached the touchline,the bench were shouting for his immediate return.10 v 11 now,but this seemed to spur Cray on to better things,3 EXCELLENT SAVES by James Wastell in the Park goal and one hitting the post kept the scores level at half time.Would Park change the system 2nd half and go for the win,they did have more of the ball 2nd half and forced 4 corners in 5 minutes,but still 1 up front,Wastell made 2 more excellent stops,it was never going to be Cray's day I thought a replay looked on the cards.Then in the 88th minute the Park 6 beat 2 players inside the area,5 yds out , hit it son was the shout,he swung his left peg,and totally missed the ball,then recovered and knocked it across goal just past the far post.Up went the board 4 mins added time,the talk then was will South Park charge £10 to get in at their Ground,but alas in the 2nd Minute of injury time,Hamici received the ball in the Park area with back to goal turned and drilled one past the diving Wastell.Game Over.The South Park 4 had a great game until he got substituted late on.I just wish South Park had gambled a bit more,and tried to make the extra man count,bt maybe they were tired chasing the ball for long periods.BUT THEY GAVE IT THEIR ALL,AND YOU CAN DO NO MORE THAN THAT.

Thanks Smudge for your comments. The South Park players ran their socks off and if we had taken that chance late into the game it may well have been daylight robery but that is what the FA Cup is all about. We have enjoyed our 1st experience of the FA Cup and as you say the players and supporters (despite what you may read elsewhere) did the club and and the CCL proud.

To answer your point on the admission prices if there had been a replay we would have changed £4 for Adults £2 Senior Citizens and £1 under 16's which are also the prices for our FA Vase game at home to Guildford City on Saturday.

Just to add to Smudge's comments above, I thought South Park were a credit to the CCL yesterday. I was yelling for the guy at the end to shoot - it all seemed to happen in slow motion! That would have won it for sure, but a replay was the least that was deserved. Shame.

 

Should be an interesting meeting of the giant killers in the Vase on Saturday!

Big thanks for your support, Smudge, T.R.S and anyone else who was there, also nice to see alot of Horley boys showing there support, much appreciated. Good day and very nearly pulled it off, would of been harsh on Cray who dominated the game with 10 players.
