BTFC 1-0 Wealdstone

Good effort I thought, against a solid Wealdstone team. Chris Wild got the goal and is probably playing his best football since he joined us. Another new 'keeper, Nicky Morgan who had a good game. We really need to get the 'keeper position settled, hope he stays. Another new signing in tom Bolarinwa who joins us from Croydon Athletic (ex Dulwich where I assume he played for Craig). Came on second half and showed a few good touches and a bit of pace.

If, in early august, you'd offered 10 points from that start to the season, I'd have been more than happy. Not to press on Into the autumn, hopefully get a cup run as well!

Craig must have given them a rocket at halftime as we seemed to far more lively after the break . Liked the look of Tom, and Chris will/and has always scored goals like that with the right delivery as it is a defenders dream to come powering through . Agree the goalkeeping situation is probably the most pressing of issues to get resolved .

Lost count of the free kicks awarded outside our box. This needs to be addressed as conceding free kicks in that area can and will ultamately cost us at some stage.

Entertaining game, and a lot of ooos n rrrrs with attacks in their penalty area.

Crowd of 268 ! If the Ryman league did fixture dates , they would probably be the worst in the world !!! ooooppss they do ! :)

Anyway, compared to this time last season, we are acres ahead in terms of entertainment and work rate !

A good entertaining game, we had the capacity and should have dominated a lot more, but kept giving the ball away too cheaply, and two missed opportunities to close off the game in the second half and stop that nervous last ten minutes, there was some good performances and the team pulled together. I think this has been a good start to the season and with a little tweaking I can see a top five finish.

A very good result for us and our start of 10 from 6 (or 9 from 5 if Croydon Ath. vanish) is a very encouraging one.

I thought we were good value for the win. Thought Morgan did well in his first game and Chris Wild really does pose a goal threat from set pieces. I was expecting Wealdstone to be a bit better than they were but perhaps that's credit to us for nullifying them.

Hopefully we can get a Brucie bonus with a decent cup run.

Well done lads!

Come on you Blues!!

Another enjoyable game - it was a good evening for football and shame on those who sat in their armchairs with their sky boxes.

Yes, the goalkeeping department needs sorting, but we also need to put away our chances. Wild and Cousins have been superb this season but our strikers need to take the pressure off them by killing off these games

Finally, a word for the referee - DIRE!

A good solid performance with a much more attacking line-up. Should've won more comfortably which led to an uneasy last 10. Still sloppy in the middle of the park and most of our problems seem to be of our own making, but the back four looks a lot more stable and solid. Still got 'Ced 7' to come back in and Kouassi and 'Sat Nav' impressed down the wing when he came on.

Chris Wild, what can you say? Put the ball on his bonce and he'll nut in!

Sorted, after a solid game Vs Wealdstone, Big Nick Morgan is our keeper.

I thought the ref had a mare in the 2nd half. it really looked like he was going to keep the game going until they scored, thankfully BIG Nick was having none of that. He,s certainly is the "hugest" keeper i have come across

Thought Tom Tom made a big difference when he came on.

Craig is certainly keeping to his word's "This will be an exciting season" So far so good. applaus.gif

Keep it up lad's

Is it true that Craig is looking for a 6'9" striker and also that next summer we will enter a team in the basket ball league?

cheesy%20(2).gif I think that's a question you might want to ask him in person.
